Hi my name is Maike and I am 24 years old.
I'm from Cologne, Germany and will finish my Master degree in molecular biomedicine in 2024. After that I would love to travel and improve my English skills.
I love nature, that's why I always wanted to travel to Canada. Animals also play a major role in my life as I have a horse since 10 years, do horse riding since 21 years and grew up with dogs. At the moment my mum has three dogs and my brother two. The smallest one is a dachshund and the biggest one a cane corso/Great Dane mix. So I'm familiar and have experience with every dog size :) My horse is a Belgian warmblood and was a jumper but we switched to dressage, because of an injury he had. I cared for him always on my own, so I know how much work it is and that working with animals has to be done in any weather condition.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience with animals, especially dogs and horses.
I never lived without dogs and even hand raised two 3 week old dogs for the shelter because the mother stoped feeding them. I have experience with dogs of every size from a dachshund to a Cane Corso/Great Dane mix.
I also cared for a lot of different horses in my life from a mini Shetland pony to a 180cm warmblood and from foals to 30 year old horses. I also did a few internships with our veterinarian. My main focus is on jumping and dressage but I also know a bit about western riding and would love to learn more about it.
Apart from animal care: My dad recently taught me how to chop firewood and I love to cook and bake. I have absolutely no problem with hard and exhausting work and love to learn new things :)

I love board games and played chess tournaments when I was younger. I also love diving and did every diving certificate up to Rescue Diver. Other than that I love to try new Sports and play Golf since two years.
