Hi! My name is Kathleen, I'm originally from Nashville, Tennessee, and I have been living in Spain for 2 years. I have been an assistant English teacher in Seville and Bilbao, Spain working with primary and secondary students while exploring Western Europe during holidays and weekends. Living in both the north and the south of Spain has been an incredible opportunity to practice Spanish, hike, and live a different lifestyle than what I am used to in the United States.

I am an extrovert, nature enthusiast, and big fan of making new friends. My favorite thing about exploring new places is the people I am able to meet along the journey. I always find that my favorite memories in new destination are centered around the people I was able to connect with. I love to learn about others--everything from deep conversations late into the night or casual music and book recommendations. Trading stories and learning about others is what brings me happiness.

Other hobbies of mine include hiking, baking & cooking, collaging, photography, playing cards, yoga, and finding new music. I am originally from Nashville, Tennessee (aka Music City), so music is something that is very dear to my heart. Making food for others or sharing a meal together is one of my favorite ways to get to know someone.

Something I have realized about myself recently is that I feel much more inner peace when I prioritize living in nature. I love the culture and entertainment of a city, but I need wide open spaces. I am looking for a way to continue traveling after my teaching program ended in May 2024 and Australia is where I am headed in December 2024 with a working holiday visa.

Teaching - I have been an assistant English teacher for 1.5 years helping primary and secondary Spanish students improve their English fluency through speaking, reading, writing, & most importantly: games!
I am a native English speaker and beginner/intermediate Spanish speaker always looking for practice :)

Hospitality/food - I have worked in the restaurant industry as a bartender and server & I am an avid baker and cook for myself, family, and friends.

Marketing & communications - I have worked as an administrative assistant remotely while living in Spain doing everything from data entry to email marketing. I am well versed in social media personally and professionally.
