Description
Hello and welcome - Please read our full description. A great attitude is the most important job requirement. Being trustworthy, helpful and organised are also required. If you can't do the little things, like making your bed for example, how can you expect to do the big things right?
We mainly need your help with general housework and gardening, for example, doing the dishes and cleaning up after meals. No skills required. Pretty simple. No stress, no worries, just helping each other and keeping on top of things.
We have small boutique accommodation which is managed by us. Your day would generally consist of helping with household, kitchen and outdoor chores.
I'm an American and my wife is English. We love our 3 small dogs and hope you do too. We seem to be very allergic to children and possibly, very contagious :) so you won't have to be concerned with catching anything and let us know if you've recently encountered any :)
We encourage a positive, cheerful attitude and not starting till 10am, usually helps with that :). We invite you to relax and enjoy your moments with us and make it your home, hopefully enjoying the outdoor shower, spa, and sun room as much as we do. Clothing is an option in the garden, spa and sun room - open minded people need only apply :)
Mt Taranaki is a stunning region and will truly be one of the highlights of your journey throughout N.Z. The coastal walks are spectacular and the various mountain treks are amazing! The center of Hawera is about a 20-minute walk from our home, offering a few delightful local attractions. A bicycle is available if you're keen to explore further.

I am an American. My wife is from the U.K. We've lived in N.Z. for decades and feel it's our home on most days. We look forward to exchanging stories, ideas, recipes and future travel plans as we've been pretty much 'everywhere' in N.Z. at least once.

Kelly and Christina are incredibly kind. I got lost on Mount Taranaki, and they called for rescue to help me. I owe them one! They have a great sense of humor, and I had an amazing time with them. I also learned a lot about myself and how to see life differently.

My time with these two wonderful people was really nice. Christina is such a sweet heart and always asked if I had enough food (no worries about that, you'll never starve). And Kelly is a crazy old man who become a kind of grandpa for me.
