Description
Hello to all you wonderful people around the world. Our names are Armand and Jennifer. We are a couple from South Africa (Armand) and Belgium (Jennifer), and we have been travelling around the world for the last 3 years doing Workaway. We met in Turkey while volunteering on an olive farm (thanks again Deniz 😁).
We have been working in catering and helping out on a farm in Belgium during the summer. Jenny's background is in teaching, having been both an English and French teacher for many years, while I, Armand, started life as a journalist and still find myself ever drawn to the writing field.
Some of the countries we have visited over the last few years include Turkey, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Georgia, South Africa, France, Spain, and currently we are enjoying 😒 the cold weather on the coast in Belguim.
We recently bought and built up a small campervan, which we lived in until recently, when temperatures dropped.
Now the time has finally come to get back to helping out and meeting some interesting people again.
With that brief intro out of the way, we are happy to do most anything and very interested in learning any new skills.
Over the years we have helped build earth bag houses, looking after animals, doing some farm work, managing AirBnBs, building websites, and whatever our hosts needed doing.
We have a dream of settling in Spain at some point in the next 2 years and building our own place, becoming more self sufficient, and just living a life closer to nature. So happy to find anyone who has experience or knowledge that can be useful.
We each had a workaway profile but since we just upgraded to a couple's account, it looks like we lost our feedback. But don't worry, we're good people 😅.
