Hola! I'm Eliana, age 23 from London. I just graduated from university studying politics, and although it was fascinating, I now want to dedicate more time learning about and working with nature.

I am looking to volunteer somewhere to connect with and give back to local communities during my travels, but would also love to pick up new skills that will help me in my personal development. Not just with nature- I'm open to everything!

I have so many interests, but I particularly love music, carpentry, gardening, birdwatching and socialising.

Having spent the past few years studying on my laptop, I'm really looking forward to doing a work away so I can get my hands dirty and meet new people in the process!

Uno de las razones clave que escogi a viajar por Colombia/Pero fue para aprender espanol. Mi abuelo es de Barcelona, y porque esta envejeciendo , esta perdiendo su abilidad de hablar en ingles. Entonces, quiero mejorar mi espanol para que pueda hablar con el. Tambien, quiero poder hablar con los locales y aprender de su hermoso pais.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Although my politics degree doesn't provide me with lots of practical skills, it demonstrates my motivation make this world a better place, and thinking open mindedly.

I've always been a very creative and hands-on person. I am good at problem-solving and love different methods of construction. I am especially good at dressmaking and pattern cutting but these skills can be transferred to any method of design!

Other skills:
-I recently was working as a gardener, so have experience in maintaining gardens and growing food (and understand how physically demanding it is!).
-I have done various biodiversity courses, with basic knowledge in surveying but deep interest in the environment.
-I just finished a joinery class, and have basic knowledge in carpentry.
-I can help with different types of administration, as I am very organized and good with computers
-I have years of experience in hospitality, so I'm good at making people feel comfortable and having a laugh!
-I am from Jamaica and have worked in a Vegan Caribbean health food shop, so have good knowledge of healthy Caribbean food. I also love to cook for my family and friends.
-I am passionate about music and play the piano and guitar
-I have undertaken different projects in helping my local communities and worked in different charities, including legal aid and community gardens. I truly undertand the importnt and impact of good community.
