Hello everyone! :)
I'm Aurora, a 24 year old girl from Parma, a pretty small city in the north of Italy.
I started working right after graduating high school, while studying Educational Science at the University of Bologna; I've done almost every "student job" you can imagine (waitress, ice cream maker, shop assistant etc), but after graduating my Bachelor two years ago I've started working a full time job in a community house for minors.
It's been my dream job for a while, and I'll always think about it with a smile on my face, but I feel that now it's time for me to look outside of my little box and find out what's waiting for me in more unexplored, unfamiliar areas of the world (and of myself).
I've always been extremely fascinated by meeting new people, cultures, places; I started travelling alone when I was 18, during a pretty hard time of my life, when I decided to just pack and go to Oslo by myself, and since then many other travel experiences followed. I love reading, walking in the mountains, the smell of home made cookies, petting cats, laying in the sunlight and nights with friends that make you feel like everything will always be okay. I try to live for small moments like these instead of planning my whole life ahead, and that's what I'm expecting from my Workaway experience: something that will teach me lots about the world and about myself, that will also put me in discomfort sometimes, but that I will keep in my memories forever :)

I have a C1 level in English, so I'm interested in teaching it, especially to children. My native language is Italian, and I could teach it to whoever might be interested; I would also really like to learn a little of Spanish, French and German.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I started being a babysitter when I was 16, and after that I worked in a few summer camps for teens; I graduated in Educational Science bachelor and after that I worked for almost two years in a residential educative community for minors, therefore I'm pretty much experienced in dealing with teenagers and children. Other than that, I've also worked in shops and bars/restaurants, which gave me the ability to talk and interact with people in general (and, most importantly, always with a smile on my face). I also like cooking, arts and sports, especially running and trekking, and I'm open to learn new things in these areas, too.
