Here the local indigenous people are Tamang people, their name is also Terila Mala known as buddha chitta mala " bodhi mala. We are located near the first cave where Guru Padmasambhav meditated. It is a lesser known tourist destination of Nepal. Guru Padmasambhav is known to be the second buddha and gave the buddha chitta mala to the people.

Help with developing sustainable tourism (eco/village tourism) for the community to welcome more guests in the area and increase opportunities for the local community, any skills to help for growth is appreciated.

In your spare time you can explore village lifestyle, hiking and visiting sacred Hindu temple and Buddhist monument stupas.

The Tamang are an indigenous group in Nepal, concentrated in the central hilly and Himalayan regions. Not a caste in the traditional Hindu sense. We speak both Tamang and Nepali language and can do a language exchange learning yours also. You can also learn about the local food, plants and animals and learn how we cook.

The Tamang practice Bonpo Shamanism and Varjayana Buddhism, we can connect you with opportunities to experience and learn.

You can meet and speak with local villagers with a great smile and enjoy the beautiful panorama mountain views east to west including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Annapurna 1 and 2, Choyu, Sishapangma, Boudha Himal and Manasalu.
