Hi, i am Annette and as of January 1, 2025, I stopped working as an interim manager to pursue my dream: running a campsite or accommodation in France.

In the coming year I want to gain experience and broaden my horizons to see how I can shape my dream in the future. I want to experience life in the French countryside, improve my language skills, work in hospitality, get more experience with gardening, especially vegetable gardening or any other type of job to improve my DIY experience.

Running a campsite is not new to me. In Amsterdam, I initiated and organized the temporary campsite UrbanCampsiteAmsterdam (UCA) several times. UCA is a unique open-air exhibition of artworks and campsite in one at a surprising location in Amsterdam. Each edition was a great success. As an interim manager in the private and public sector, I always found myself in a new situation and environment. As a result, I have adaptation, communication and leadership skills. Organizing UCA further refined these skills and gave me experience in organizing (cultural) events, hospitality and dealing with various stakeholders such as the municipality. The joy I experienced and the energy I gained from welcoming and surprising guests time and again only strengthened my dream of running a campsite.

In addition to the experiences described above, I gained hospitality experience from the age of 16 to 26 as a bar manager at a sports facility and also worked in a restaurant and a hotel.

At the moment I am living with my husband and children in Amsterdam. But, with the kids leaving home, it is time for a new adventure!
