I enjoy traveling to and exploring new places and learning about different cultures. I am currently backpacking through Southeadt Asia and plan to spend roughly two months in Thailand before continuing on to Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia. I am very excited to learn about the differnet communities I engage with and feel like volunteering is the best way to do so!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I love working with children and have several years experience working with children from 6-18 years old. I am a former children’s gymnastics coach and I spent multiple years volunteering for Kesem, an American nonprofit that provides free-weeklong summer camps for children affected by a parents cancer. I have been a camp counselor for 4 separate Kesem summer camps and have been a board member of my local chapter.

One of my favorite things about working with kids is seeing their point of view of things. I think children see the world in such a different way than adults and I feel like we can learn as much from them as they do from us. I think that volunteering with children in different communities will really help me learn about the way of life there while giving back to the community I am participating in.
