We are Anna and Ingrid, two danish girls in their early twenties . We both love experiencing new things and are adventurous. We met eachother while exploring and working in Greenland, where we gained a lot of experience in the service industry and life while having great fun. This motivated us to explore more of the world together, and we have always been keen on visiting the authentic Australia.

More about Ingrid:
I am a twenty-three year old, happy and approachable young woman. I'm a very social person who loves meeting new people, exploring new places, and learning about other cultures and new things. I am energetic, curious, and full of drive. I love being outdoors in nature, and I care deeply about the environment and the need to take care of the planet. I am a huge animal lover, and I adore (almost) all animals. When I need to relax, which I also enjoy, I often go for a long walk with my dog or practice yoga.

I have always wanted to travel to Australia, as it seems very different from Denmark, where I am from. It's a completely different climate and nature than what I am used to. Additionally, I have never tried Workaway before, but I am really curious about both and think it’s just the right thing for me. I also think it sounds like the best form of traveling. To immerse in a new culture by staying with locals and volunteering.

I enjoy challenging myself. I have previously lived in Greenland for eight months, where Anna and I met each other. It was minus twenty degrees Celsius when I moved there, and many of my days off were spent hiking in the snow, skiing, dog sledding, and going on boat trips when the summer came. It was incredibly exciting to live somewhere other than Denmark, meet a lot of new people, and gain a bunch of amazing experiences. I've learned a lot from that experience and am ready for new adventures.

More about Anna:
My name is Anna Cordes, I’m 22 years old and love experiencing new things. Whether that is travelling Greenland, attending an art boarding school, skiing in Japan or travelling Australia, and getting to visit the more authentic parts of the country. I enjoy spending time in social settings and get energy from spending time with other people. I love being outside hiking, biking and sleeping in nature. I have owned my own horse and worked in a stable since my childhood, which gives me a great knowledge of how to care for animals and their wellbeing.

I’m from a small town in Denmark and have grown up near lakes, woods and animals. I’m travelling to Australia to experience a different culture and nature and to meet the people! I’m always interested in learning new skills and widening my horizons which keeps me open-minded and positive!

I have multiple friends that have done workaway and enjoyed it and they convinced me that I too would have a great time. With workaway I can combine my interest for new cultures and doing volunteer work which are two great interests of mine!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We both have great experience in the service industry and have both done carework for children from age 1 and up and for disabled people as well. Furthermore, we both love taking care of animals and have work experince doing so. We both appreciate a clean environment and are not afraid of working hard for exactly that. Through experience living and working in Greenland and Japan, we know the importance of living respectfully in the accomodation offered.
We are very open and up for any work offered!
