Description

My name is Alban, and I’m an adaptable, curious, and easy-going person who loves meeting new people and discovering different cultures.

I’ve worked as a cook in Ireland, a kitchen helper in Angers, and a kitchen manager at a camping site in Pornic. During my time in Ireland, I also worked on farms, gaining experience in gardening and animal care, which gave me a strong connection to nature and practical skills. I also have some experience in construction work, which taught me problem-solving and teamwork. Additionally, I volunteered with Unis Cité on environmental projects and enjoy contributing to community-focused initiatives.

Music holds a central place in my life. I’m a musician who loves writing lyrics for some of my friends' bands, and I deeply enjoy expressing myself creatively through music. Along with my passion for music, I love hiking, exploring new places, and sharing creative and meaningful moments with others.

I’m returning to Ireland, a place I’ve loved exploring, to introduce it to a close friend while connecting with new people through Workaway. I’m looking forward to helping out with projects like gardening, cooking, farm work, or light construction, and I’m always happy to learn new skills along the way.

Hello, I’m Bastien,

I’m 25 years old, curious, enthusiastic, and sincere. I love learning new things and meeting new people. At work, I’m someone who adapts well and knows how to work in a team. I’m rigorous, serious, and reliable.

I’ve worked in several fields. I had my own business doing house clearing and selling second-hand goods for 3 years. I’ve also worked as a truck driver for various companies. I worked as a pizzaiolo for 2 years at Basilic & Co.

As for my passions, I’ve been a motorcyclist for several years. I compete in enduro racing and enjoy traveling. I love music and am very interested in history and geography. I’ve traveled a lot and have done humanitarian work in Africa twice: 1 month in Senegal and 2 months in Togo in the field of education.

I’m coming to Ireland with Alban to learn English, meet new people, and work with foreigners. Ireland is a country I don’t know well, but Alban keeps talking about it, and I’m excited to discover it.

We have already traveled and worked together (managing a kitchen together for a season), and Bastien had a house clearance business. I've often worked alongside him, so living and working together is not new for us!
