Jorge stayed for a month with me and was an invaluable help. He was happy to work where he could be of help and performed the tasks with care and skill. He worked mainly in the garden doing weeding planting and redesign. He worked hard and was joyful in his work. He is a lovely honest kind person whom is easy to cohabit with. Uau, que experiência magnífica eu vivi! Passei uma semana na casa do Palmas e foi simplesmente transformador. Tive a oportunidade de aprender muitas coisas, desde agrofloresta e agrofauna até bioconstrução. Mas, acima de tudo, aprendi muito com o próprio Palmas. Ele é uma pessoa incrível, com um lado humano e parceiro que me cativou profundamente. É o tipo de pessoa que dá gosto de estar por perto e de quem dá vontade de aprender sempre mais. O lugar é extremamente acolhedor, cercado pela natureza, com cachoeiras, trilhas para explorar e produtores locais de leite. Mesmo com o tempo não sendo dos melhores por causa da chuva, a estadia foi muito agradável e cheia de aprendizados, ainda mais considerando que foi a minha primeira experiência de Workaway. Quero deixar aqui minha profunda apreciação ao Palmas, por ser alguém com tanto conhecimento para compartilhar e, ao mesmo tempo, com uma enorme abertura para trocar ideias. Tivemos conversas riquíssimas sobre diversos temas: agrofloresta, bioconstrução, técnicas de conservação, política e muito mais. É uma convivência que realmente expande a mente. Em relação ao trabalho, ele é bem dinâmico e variado: desde plantio de árvores até construções e outras atividades práticas. Não é nada monótono pelo contrário, é aprendizado constante na prática. É um lugar excelente para quem quer se conectar com a natureza, encontrar momentos de paz e, ao mesmo tempo, crescer pessoal. Recomendo de verdade a todos que buscam uma experiência autêntica, rica em aprendizado e conexão. :::)))))

Shahab and Anna were amazing. They brought an incredible amount of hard work, care, and energy to our arts collective, and supported us across so many areas, from website work to decor, events, and anything else that needed to be done. Their attitude and presence were consistently positive, generous, and thoughtful. They made a big impact on the space and the community, and they are leaving not just as collaborators but as dear friends! We would absolutely recommend them for any future projects, work trades, or opportunities.

Noémie and Nathan where the best help and company I could have imagined. They are open minded, sympatic people that naturally take responsibility and do all tasks in the best way. They are also great chefs for cooking and baking and have a really good sense for all animals as for the garden. Don't hesitat in accepting them - they are really good people!

Toby and Shanti are truly a dream team. They are kind, considerate, and incredibly helpful, with excellent DIY skills to match. They cooked amazing food, helped keep the house clean, and won our kids over immediately. They really became part of the family during the three weeks they stayed with us and would check in regularly to see if we needed support with the kids. Together we tackled several renovation projects, including painting a room, staining the deck, repairing the porch’s wooden banisters, and installing a new stormwater drain. They approached every task with energy, focus, and impressive attention to detail, giving generously of their time and effort. We honestly couldn’t recommend them more highly. They are phenomenal people — warm, trustworthy, hardworking, and a genuine pleasure to have around. Any family would be incredibly lucky to host them, and we would welcome them back in a heartbeat.

Mindful, observant, respectful, grateful... and fun! Palina was a wonderful guest. Palina's positive, smart, and happy energy made it naturally, very easy to have her here. From her very first contact, Palina's communication was (and is) xlnt and much appreciated. Palina is an efficient, strong & independent worker and I'm grateful for the many, varied tasks & jobs that she helped me with - and did for me - always with a happy heart. We shared some fun outings, hikes, and holo-holo time, some rich discussions over meals, and several fun movie nights Several of my closest island friends also met Palina and now include her as a friend in their activities & outings. 5 Stars (out of 5 :-) and a huge Thank You Palina ! 🏝️✌🏼❤️🎶🙏

Caroline ís great. Age ís calm and peaceful person, lovle to be around. She ís werry hard working, good with kids, and animals.

If you ever get the opportunity to stay with Monika and Peter, take it! They are truly kind people with whom you can have inspiring and meaningful conversations. We felt very comfortable with them, and our work was always genuinely appreciated. They were highly interested in cultural exchange and showed us a lot, making us feel welcome at all times. All in all, this was our best Workaway experience so far — we already miss Nelson!

It was our first workaway experience. Yosuke, Yuka, and Seri welcomed us into their family for three weeks, and we immediately felt at home. During this time, we helped Yosuke with his beekeeping business, learning so much about the world of bees. Yuka delighted us with her Japanese culinary specialties and more. Finally, sweet Seri had fun playing with us as if we'd known her forever. We highly recommend future workawayers to come and meet this wonderful family. Maravillosa experiencia , muchas gracias a Chris y Ed, extraordinarias personas y anfitriones . personas muy trabajadoras , amables respetuosos, atentos preocupados de todos los detalles . Ed una mujer de otro planeta , infinita gratitud . Su complejo un lugar muy hermoso, cuidado y creado con mucho amor, con cabañas rodeado de naturaleza, arboles frutales, flores , un lugar extraordinario para el descanso y la renovación, a los pies del cerro Champaqui . infinita gratitud por todo lo compartido Chris y Ed . muchas bendiciones para cada uno de sus proyectos.

I had a great time volunteering in Tanzania this past summer. Morogoro has beautiful nature and wildlife, and Aron and his family were wonderful hosts who made me feel very welcome. Aron was quite busy during my stay, so we didn’t have the chance to do very much together, but he was still supportive and kind. I didn’t spend much time exploring the town, as I was mainly focused on fundraising for an agricultural project. Through this experience, I learned a lot from the local community, who are incredibly hardworking and inspiring. You may need to adjust your lifestyle while you’re there, but that’s part of the experience. You’ll likely encounter things you’ve never experienced before,and that’s the beauty of traveling gaining new perspectives and learning from others.

Héloïse & Vincent worked with us over 5-6 weeks and we couldn't have been happier with both of them! They were respectful, mature, friendly and a pleasure to be around. They had a variety of skills and applied initiative when required (which is not easy to find!). They were always responsive and positive and it was a particular delight to hear Heloise singing to herself while working. They showed a real interest in Japan and the region and got along with everybody. I can strongly recommend them for any work you have and wish them both the very best with all their future travels and adventures. We already miss you Héloïse & Vincent! Thank you so much for all your help - we couldn't have set up for the winter season without you!! xx

Tristan & Sara, both of you are wonderful people. We truly like you, and you helped us with great willingness and dedication. The results of your work were excellent. Although we had only a short time to get to know you both, it was truly worthwhile. Seeing you happy made us happy as well. Ah. I have procrastinated this to such an extent that it has now been six months since I last bid you guys adieu. Naturally I miss you guys (incredibly) still. I miss probing Eugene about the practices of sustainable farming, and the incredible plant knowledge that he has, I miss getting up from bed and being greeted by the most incredible of views right outside of my tent, the group suppers, the braais, the bonfires, memories that I will cherish till the end of time.

I stayed at this farm in August, and it’s found a permanent place in my heart. 조 and 정선 are truly the best hosts you could ever hope for; kind, welcoming, and genuine. Thanks to them, I met unforgettable people, made great friends, and created some of the happiest memories. We worked hard during the hot summer, farming all kinds of vegetables. 조 and 정선 are also very organised and always take the time to show you how to do things, explaining both how and why. Through this, I learned about organic farming, agriculture, and living a nature-centred life, and it has changed the way I see things. This experience has been genuinely life-changing. To 조 and 정선, thank you so much. I’ll see you again in May 💚 (I’m still not friends with 거미.)

The coordinators were very open and fun, and helped me improve my Spanish a lot (Muchas gracias a todos!). I really appreciated the community aspect of the boat, as well as the enjoyable working atmosphere. I recommend this experience for anyone who's ready for a fun, exciting challenge (and maybe for some mala de la tierra every once in a while😉). For anyone going in winter, it will probably be colder than you think since you're right next to the ocean, so bring that extra layer with you and enjoy the experience! 🫶🏻

Lois stayed with us through our busy season. She was an excellent worker and addition to our team. She handled laundry, check ins, deep cleans and so much more! She was always able to stay calm in a stressful situation and provided a high quality customer service experience as well as some excellent vibes to our inn. I would highly recommend Lois to any other hosts looking to fill a spot.

I am very grateful for the Workaway experience I had at Leticia's home. I stayed there for two weeks. I had been searching for a host for months and Leticia was immediately available and easygoing; we organized everything just a week before. Leticia made me feel comfortable immediately and we talked a lot. The only help she needed was taking care of the children in the evening and late afternoon, so I had plenty of free time to visit the beautiful city of Cartagena (so full of history, life and culture!). She gave me great advice and always included me in their activities with other friends and families. Victor and Alba are very open and energetic children. Sometimes they argued with each other, but we had a great time together, chatting, dancing, singing, playing, drawing, doing homeworks. They taught me lots of fun games and many traditional Spanish Christmas songs, and we decorated together the Christmas tree. I had a special connection with Alba, that became quiet and sweet with me especially during the last days. It was a truly enriching and authentic experience sharing everyday life with a local family and practising Spanish while discoring the beautiful Cartagena. I will keep in my heart all these good memories and I hope to return soon and visit them again in the future.

I had a wonderful time during my workaway stay and I am very grateful for this experience. From the beginning, I felt warmly welcomed and truly part of the place. Even though my Spanish skills were limited, I managed well thanks to Fernando's and Santy's great patience and kindness. I have a lot of respect for them - the workload is intense, yet they always stayed positive and in a good mood, creating a great atmosphere. The tasks were fair and varied, with a good balance between work and free time. There was another Workawayer at the same time, ans I also had contact with guests staying there, but the experience still felt authentic and local. This Workaway was truly enriching and I would highly recommend it. Also, the nature there is beautiful! Thank you for the amazing time and the opportunity to be part of this project! Tuve una experiencia muy bonita durante mi estancia con Workaway y estoy muy agradecida. Desde el primer momento me sentí bienvenida y parte del lugar. Aunque mi nivel de español era limitado, pude desenvolverme bien gracias a la paciencia y amabilidad de Fernando y Santy. Tengo mucho respeto por ellos: el trabajo es intenso y aun así siempre mantuvieron una actitud positiva y buen humor. Las tareas eran justas y variadas, con un buen equilibrio entre trabajo y tiempo libre. Había otro Workawayer y también contacto con los huéspedes, pero aun así la experiencia se sintió muy auténtica y local. Fue una experiencia realmente enriquecedora que recomiendo totalmente.
