Hola Kiko, Karen, and the 5 lovely cats (More, Liana, Yoda, Cheto and Trucha). I want to thank you for the beautiful experience. To anyone looking for a vibe where you truly feel welcome, comfortable, and at home. This is it. This in my opinion is THE perfect place to stay in Guanajuato. I stayed here when there were 5 other volunteers, which made it lively, but there's always room to be on yourself. Thanks a lot and best of luck with your food trucks and hostel!

Alessio! Thanks so much for being with us this weeks! Thanks for the extra help and being the first to volunteer for many of the crazy tasks! Always with a big smile, helping more than asked and creating a good vibe with everyone. Easy to work with, always positive and with the best italian accent!! We were super lucky that Josip and Lucia spontaneously found their way to the castle in the fall. We had a lot of fun with them, and it was easy to strike up a conversation and exchange travel stories. They were always willing to help and go above and beyond, always making sure the final result was satisfactory and even going the extra mile. It was also nice that they constantly shared their experiences with us, allowing us to learn new things for our daily castle life. Since there's always something going on at the castle, it was all the more relaxing for me that they were able to find work themselves and see where help was needed. Thank you for your support, and I hope for a rematch at the ping-pong table sometime in the future!

Thank you sooo much Lori for showing up and staying with us! Really organized, a lot of knowledege and experience that really fit our needs.. always with a smile and super positive about everything! Super easy to work with, fast learner, great teacher, and an amazing person! Thanks for sharing so much with us, for creating a super good atmoshpere and for always helping more than asked and needed. I stayed there for a little over two months, but unfortunately only towards the end of the season. At first, I had to find my way around, but I received great support from the team, especially from the couple who own the company. I was able to learn a lot and enjoy living by the sea at the same time. Whenever I had any problems or needed help, there was always someone to turn to. It was a wonderful time – I’d love to come back next year!

Hi Sergio, Elisa, and the dog Rio. thank you so much for the beautiful experience! I felt very welcome, and was able to level up my Spanish from Duolingo level to general speaking in only 2 weeks. the house is really perfectly placed close to the center, but far away enough to not have the noise or business. overall it was a beautiful first workaway experience. muchas gracias!

Markus stayed with us for almost two months and quickly became a valued part of our team. He learned the service work in no time, was always attentive and helpful, and communicated warmly with our guests – his friendly and open attitude really added to the good atmosphere in our inn. We truly appreciated the time with him and would be very happy to see him again – Markus is always welcome with us!

It was great to have Diana and Victor here, they are very easy going and always smiling! They bonded really well with the dogs, taking them on long walks and giving lots of affection. Even Poppy the cat enjoyed their company! I would highly recommend them to any host!

Kat came to my rescue when a Workaway couple unfortunately had to cancel a house sitting stint quite late in the day. Initially, Kat had intended to house sit alone but an unexpected change of plan meant that she had to bring her 7 year old son with her. To begin with, I was a little concerned about having a child there, especially with the swimming pool. However, as her son was a strong swimmer and she had clear boundaries of what he would be able to do with her, we made a plan. Kat was extremely capable and quietly confident and experienced with the managing a pool which was a big advantage. Great communication also really made a difference and I was delighted that we also got some time to work together on the daily housekeeping, gardening, cooking etc. I cannot recommend Kat highly enoughto anyone in need of a capable and independent workaway.

Hannah is a positive and pro/active person with a great capacity to look at things with humor, while doing some seriously kick-ass work! We had a lot of interesting talks with Hannah about all possible subjects. She is curious, sensible, warmhearted and generous of spirit ! Hannah is a dependable house-mate who works very well with other volunteers. Hannah helped with any and all tasks, from plant and seeding work to cleaning and cooking, and anything really that needed to be done. And Lays the cat also approved of her! She (Hannah, not Lays) made sure to hike and explore nature, get in the lake (no idea how as the water was pretty cold by then), and enjoy the changing seasons. It really does get very beautiful around here with the autumn colors in the forest..... We do hope Hannah will come visit us again, as we already miss her. We also hope that she stays in touch with the other volunteers who were here. It is always wonderful to see friendships and connections that remain after a random encounter on a farm: these friendships can stay with you forever! PLEASE come back to us!!!! Big hugs and huge thanks!

I was welcomed by Majella and Michael. They generously offered me a lift to the villages, towns and cities they were visiting as I didn't have a car. It's quiet and peaceful where they live. I got to visit Kilkenny a number of times and my stay coincided with a food festival which I enjoyed being at. A train journey to Dublin was a great day out. I also saw my first hurling match which was very exciting! While staying with Majella, I helped with cooking, some sewing, some cleaning, ironing and some expenses inputting.

Thanks Haley and Decker for your help.... and we now have a sparkling new kitchen and bathroom as a result of your skills and effort, and dedication to get the job done. Was a pleasure hosting you and so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and time in the mountains.... sorry the apartment was a bit of a mess during your stay, but it's going to be so much better now with the new facilities all finished! Happy travels...

Gunnar, staying with you was lovely. Helping to tune organs, experiencing different atmospehere of churches and getting a closer look to such a great fascinating instrument was fantastic feeling. Conversations were flowing, we found ourselfs in similar situation in different time. You gave me opportunity to be in calm healing spaces of your home by myself just when I needed so much. You showed me the magic of tango in Munich. You gave me hope that even in my hard situation life will get better again. Thank you:)

Aleks is a really nice person, kind, calm, and thoughtful. She may seem a bit shy and more introspective at first, but once you get to know her, you realize what a great person she is. She’s a very talented artist who makes beautiful tattoos and is also an amazing videomaker and photographer. Aleks took care of our social media during her stay and produced great videos that captured the spirit of the farm beautifully. She also helped in many different tasks with a positive attitude and genuine care. Aleks has a gentle presence, creative energy, and a lot of talent to offer. Super nice and highly recommended. Any host would be lucky to have her!

Bryn was an amazing volunteer from the USA and such a great person to have around. She’s incredibly organized, everyone was impressed by how efficiently she worked and how smoothly she handled every task. She helped with everything we needed, always with a calm attitude, a big smile, and great energy. Bryn is also a very talented cook and have talents at the kitchen. On top of that, she’s a great bartender and helped us during an event, mixing amazing drinks and bringing wonderful energy to the bar. Bryn knows what she wants, works with intention, and is super easygoing and fun to be around. We truly loved having her here: she’s kind, reliable, and full of good vibes. A great, great person. Highly recommended to any host!

I would like to extend a big thank you to Caroline for hosting me, and also to the amazing people I met during my stay. I’m truly grateful for the whole experience. The place is beautiful, located near the sea and surrounded by the calm of nature. The students were absolutely wonderful, always eager to listen and learn. Their curiosity and enthusiasm made teaching a real joy and turned the whole experience into a meaningful exchange. I learned so much from them and felt deeply enriched by our time together. Whether during classes, playing games, or painting the wall of the house, every activity was fun and memorable. The food was always delicious, and the schedule was flexible enough to explore the area between the mountains and the sea. During my stay, I also got to know many people from the nearby village who quickly became close friends. It was heartwarming to be welcomed so warmly and to create such lovely connections. The local culture is very present, from the nearby pagoda where I learned how to make tofu, to the lively market where you can buy fresh fruit every day. The kids were also very open and loved sharing stories about their culture and food. Caroline is kind, generous, and always ready to help, whether it’s with scooters, showing the area, or sharing a meal. She’s funny, open, and we shared many good laughs and funny moments together. I wish her and everyone at the house all the very best with their future projects! Thanks again, Helena

It was my first experience with a person coming from UK, so I finally had the occasion to pass from the fiction to the reality which really exceeded my expectations. I like British behavior. It's a real pleasure to be part of the Workaway community, especially when I host wonderful volunteers like Janik and Camila. They did a lot for the whole property, especially for the animals they cared for. They prepared the wood, cut the grass, repaired the fence, cleaned the area where the animals live, prepared wonderful food, in a word, they did their best to support me in everything. I look forward to our new meeting and wish you all the best!

Mélissa was full of energy and joy! She had fun doing all kinds of things, jumping from one to another all the day, it was hard to stop her (talking too! 😄). I enjoyed a lot this exchange, loads of things have been done, and it was harvesting time... Have fun around the world and see you soon 🌈
