  This is a rural property 45 minutes from hobart. it is 500 m above sea level and feels very private with very few neighbors yet only 15 minute drive to the closest town with all your basic needs.
  i am in my 30's i have one dog, 2very friendly mini goats. lots of native animals running around the paddock.
  have two chicken coops,turkeys , a garden , hot house , multiple dwellings, a self contained shed with a communal kitchen shower area. composting toilet system.
  i work hard but also like to have time relaxing and working on creative endeavour's. i enjoy motorbike rides from the front gate on to fire trails and 4wd tracks.
  i am looking forward to meeting new people and hosting people with practical skills that are willing to experience a unique off grid living situation, that are not scared o f getting their hands dirty. I am also very keen to learn more skills that help with a functional off grid existence. i am fairly laid back and love a good laugh, enjoy sharing meals yet also having my own space, i have the available facility's for us to not need to share every meal.
  the lay out of the property means there is plenty of space to be able to find your own time and space when needed.
  I have been building up all the facilities the last five years to the point it is mostly comfortable , yet there is always room for improvement , i wish to build new areas for food production. build and improve more areas on the land for living . create better hydrology and water storage . as well as plant more trees along a creekline that borders on side of property.
  there is always daily chores that need fulfilling.
  New Norfolk (the closest town) is the gateway to the west coast of Tassie. There are many beautiful walks and forested areas within a short drive from the property.
  
  im currently without a licence , and due to the lack of public transport within walking distance makes having a car essential at the moment. I'm flexible and happy to fit in with requests, i don't expect too much... but we do expect a fair trade of work for my hospitality, so if you're lazy and unmotivated, probably not going to be a great match. i love relaxed, easy going but self motivated people who can do things on their own initiative and have a self sufficient nature, that communicate well .

  lots of gardening skills in temperate climates, different art skills, im currently learning the art of taxidermy and skin preservation ,im happy to share techniques of skinning an animal. opportunity to learn off grid living techniques.

  art projects are always on going. regenerating areas with native forest.

  i a camper that has power for lights and charging basic appliances. there is a shed that has communal kitchen and shower area.
  i have a small house with a very functional kitchen that i am happy to provide shared evening meals most nights.

  hiking trails are endless within a short few hour drive .
  beautiful national parks and coast lines to discover.
  the public transport is not good so best not to rely on it .
