I arrived with very little experience to offer, yet they welcomed me openly and taught me so much. Truly amazing hosts and warm, friendly people who make you feel at home from the start. It’s also a wonderful place to spend time in. An excellent experience overall, and I would 100% recommend staying with them.

We had a great experience and would really recommend taking the opportunity to volunteer if you are looking to meet a wonderfully warm and welcoming community; share your skills and knowledge, learn lots about the Moroccan way of life and have fun. Our activities included facilitating conversations and workshops for students. It was an educational experience for us to hear what the students thought about current issues and life experiences during the discussions. The staff and students are very engaged and engaging. The programme and duties are well-explained and well-organised. We developed friendships with the staff and students both within the classroom and on excursions and trips. We played pool, hiked to a beautiful viewpoint over the city, visited the weekly market and had a variety of delicious home-cooked meals. The accommodation is a Moroccan-style flat that sleeps 6 people located very near the school with an amazing rooftop area to relax. Thanks to all the people who made our visit so great including Hassan, Abderrahim, Yasmine, Yassine, Amina and Fatima. We arrived as volunteers and left as friends.

Great experience working with Tim and Tuei. Tim is an easygoing manager with a very long list of things to do so it was great to largely be able to pick the tasks that suited me best. The local area is stunning to explore during downtime, and there was great food and chats. Highly recommended!

When I think about the experience I had at the fundación, I don't know where to start from cause everything I lived there was truly amazing. I stayed less more than a week and I regret so much that I didn't have enough time, either ways I would have stayed a lot more. This was my first workaway ever and there I met other volunteers who were on their first workaway and we all agreed that this is the best experience one could ask for. Martin is an example to follow and all he does is an inspiration . The kids and the adults at the foundation Alfredo ( the guardian ) Pili ( the cook) and all the other people of the staff ( the professors , educators and other professionals) were all beautiful people to be surrounded by . I would recommend this workaway to everyone, and I am looking forward to coming back to the fundación next year !

I‘m home now for almost a month and every day that has passed my gratefullness for the opportunity to spend the three best months of my life on Hawaii with this amazing family has grown ever since! From the moment I arrived in this paradise Kelly, Eric and the kids welcomed me with such a friendly and open mindset to get to know me, my culture and to make sure I get to accomplish and see everything on my bucket list. Kelly sat down with me several times to look for the best boat tour, helicopter tour or day trip I can do and recommended me so many amazing things. Alexa, Arielle and Tiago are so so talented and i‘m still amazed by how mature and intelligent they are. I miss them so much, especially the endless gamenights of the German Game „mensch ärgere dich nicht“ with tiago and trying the awesome recipes the girls made!! I got to show them german meals and they showed me traditional hawaiian food. But regardless of that they were amazing cooks and the meals were always very nutritious and yummy:) I almost checked everything off my endless bucket list of hikes, beaches, daytrips and food places. However the really hard hikes like three peaks were a bit too scary for me haha:D The room was very cute with everything you need and the whole family always made sure you were feeling well. The work you do during the week is pretty light and you can tan and enjoy the tropical atmosphere while doing laundry. You always have the weekends and a day in week of and almost all of the time i also did something in the afternoon after work, so this is the best work life balance opportunity to have on the Island because the living cost are actually crazy, so save up for the food and fun activites like a helicopter tour, a boat tour with dolphins, skydiving, surf lessons and diving with Sharks!! The bus station was directly in front of the house and the connections to the rest of the island were very good!! I even got the opportunity to visit the neighbour Islands maui and kauai and to be honest I don’t think I will ever see a more beautiful place than the napali coast of Hawaii (I was crying the whole helicopter tour). Furthermore I made SO many friends i‘m still very close to, a lot of german girls but also girls from the usa and from all over the world, who I plan to meet up with again in the future! I really can‘t put in words how amazing this time of my life was and how positively it impacted me, it still feels like a dream too good to be true and looking at my photos, i’m still in disbelief of the breathtaking nature I got to see.If you have any questions and are thinking about visiting this awesome family too, text me on Instagram (Julie.varloud) and I can help you with your Trip!! I really enjoyed my time at the temple. I met many kind people and experienced many new and fascinating things. I had alot of fun especially with the cows and in the kitchen. I learned and witnessed things that opened my eyes to another part of myself. Thank you to everyone who made me feel welcome and included. see you all soon!

Marie is young at heart and love to share her wisdom 💖 Both - the studio and the mountain house are very special and the weather even in December is incredibly sunny ☀️ We have done together great job renovating the studio flat and the meals were delicious. I'm very grateful for all the time spent in Saorge and around 🙏🏻✨

Robin was a very friendly positive and cheerful extremely good helper and skilled...I hope he and his dog come..back again..good luck ...

Andrew has been one of my best farm guests that I have had in the past 13 years of hosting! He is dependable, intelligent, and a hard worker. He is confident in his skills and quick to learn new skills. Andrew follows directions well, asks questions when needing clarification, works equally well with others and independently, takes initiative to suggest tasks or make intelligent adjustments. He is your all around great worker. While here he did a wide variety of tasks, cattle fencing, feeding hay and water to the cattle, chicken care, clearing out a large garden in preparation for winter, stacking wood, general cleaning, working in a greenhouse, repair decking on stairs, clearing brush, concrete work, made Kombucha, yogurt, kefir, paneer, sourdough and kimchee. Great house mate, cooks yummy meals, cleans up after himself, helps around the house and is polite. Andrew communicates well, got along with family members and our community members, joining in on work and social activities. It has been a pleasure to hear about his travels and plans. On top of Andrew's great work ethic, he is easy to get along with, both myself, family and community members enjoyed lively conversations and his companionship. I would recommend him unconditionally and he is welcome to come back to the Farm anytime.

It’s been really nice having Matty over. She’s an easygoing, affable, and truly lovely person. We chatted about anything and everything, and it was a joy to bond with her. She prepared breakfast for guests at the guesthouse from all over the world, as well as for me, and we relished it together on the terrace in the beautiful autumn sun. It soon became our little daily ritual. She also showed me PowerPoint slides she had made about her life in South Africa — the house she built with her husband, her daughters, and the many projects she’s been involved in. Seeing all that gave me a glimpse of her determination and inner strength. Matty carries a beautiful, uplifting energy, and that’s exactly what she brought into my space during her stay. She even created a lovely rangoli on one of our walls using acrylic colours. Wishing you all the very best, Matty. You’re always welcome at my place. I look forward to seeing you again someday.

Jessie is a very hardworking and pleasant...always willing and doing more than expected...she is always welcome to come back...and will have a bed here...good luck on your travels...

I had a great time with Gideon and Josée and the lovely Samson (the dog). I found the work enjoyable and the dinners were all delicious and surrounded by warm conversation. It was a great experience for my French and I appreciated their patience, generosity and flexibility. Thanks! Thanks!

William and Laura are very kind people. Their son and twin daughters are delightful. I wanted for nothing on my stay it was very enjoyable. They have tiny homes on there large wooded property and I stayed in one while I applied some finishing touches. their property is beautiful with plenty of hiking trails.They made me feel very welcome. I highly recommend them.

I got to spend 3 weeks with Manu, Rob and Looma in the south of France on their remote little property inbetween the hills. the sea and the mimosa. It is a lovely atmosphere, the work may be tough at times but always in a good mood, Manu and Rob expect a fair share of effort but repay it by creating a lovely little community. They have a huge amount of experience dealing with workawayers and will try to find a solution for every problem that comes up. I warmly recommend the place to anyone who wants a warm and welcoming workaway working with fellow adventurers. Please keep in mind that the place is fairly remote, so getting there and short trips might be a bit of an act and as the place is off grid - a good part of the work is trying to create a sustainable solution to live with nature all year round. It is fascinating and well worth to learn about the different ideas in place. Thank you so much for the time!

I spent 3½ months here and it was one of the most fruitful experiences of my life so far. Having the opportunity to serve as manager helped me learn so much and the environment here is truly special. I met so many people from so many places and it was a wonderful place to learn Spanish.

It has been a real pleasure to host Julie and Harry. They are a very positive couple, precise and hard-working, and they truly brought a breath of fresh spring air to our place. We talked a lot on different issues and they managed to perform all of the work we needed.

It’s difficult to fully capture what this experience meant to us, but it truly felt like a thousand small moments of joy, community, and togetherness. We worked primarily with Prakash and spent a lot of time with his family — Ajit joined us for work and free time activities (like jungle walks and exploring the Meghauli area), and Prakash’s wife DilKumari cooked for us daily. From the very beginning, their enthusiasm, generosity, and openness were unmistakable. They live service work in a way that feels deeply genuine and freely given. Watching the way Prakash cares for and interacts with people in his community was inspiring. His excellent English also made a huge difference, allowing for meaningful conversations between us and the local community that we would not have been able to access on our own. Our days felt balanced and human. We worked alongside local builders on the home we were helping to build and spent time with neighborhood children and community members, with plenty of space for rest, play, and organic connection. When there was less building work we could contribute to, we were invited to join community gatherings for village elders. Dancing, singing, and exchanging stories during these gatherings became some of our favorite memories. We also helped fundraise to donate blankets to a remote jungle village, allowing us to experience different ways of village life and see the wider impact of the work this family does. The work felt meaningful not only because of its tangible impact, but because of the relationships formed. We felt a genuine sense of belonging both within the community and in Prakash’s home. Leaving was bittersweet, with heartfelt goodbyes and sincere invitations to return. It felt less like an ending and more like the beginning of a lasting relationship. We are deeply grateful for this experience and wholeheartedly recommend it to others!! <3

Galya and Jonathan are wonderful parents to four amazing kids. From the very first moment, they made me feel welcome, always checking that I was comfortable and doing well. The older kids are very smart and interesting to talk to, and the younger twins are absolutely adorable — so much fun to play and cook with!. The dogs are the cutest ever. I had deep and meaningful conversations with Galya and Jonathan, and you can truly feel what a united and caring family this is. I highly recommend them, especially for young people looking for a warm and supportive home.

Lauren was an amazing workawayer. Kind, thoughtful, forward thinking, and supportive. It was a pleasure welcoming her on the Rio Azul. Don't hesitate to bring her aboard!

Fra is a gem! What a delightful person - and a fabulous musician - don't let that fact escape you - we found out late in his stay! We loved having Fra with us - smart, kind, hard working and a delight who really participated in our community. We would have him back any time!
