Giada brought so much to our home: her sense of order and cleanliness allowed us to live in a sparkling kitchen for two months, and she also brought her organizational skills and dedication to areas that needed it. Delicious pizzas and tiramisu delighted our family and friends, a lovely Italian-themed evening with an lesson of Italian was enjoyed by all, and a wonderful connection and bonding with my son was the perfect finishing touch. Thank you so much, Giada, for sharing these delightful moments with us!

Sixten, est quelqu'un de très sympa, et calme. Nous avons été ravi de partagé ces moments avec lui .Sixten a travaillé dans le jardin , il m'a beaucoup aidé et il a été très efficace.il parle très bien le Français, dont cela a été très facile d'échanger. I stayed with Steve, Penny, and their two lovely dogs, Percy and Betsy, for three wonderful weeks. I feel very lucky to have met them. Even before I arrived, their kind and warm messages made me feel welcome. Thanks to their support, I had a happy and comfortable time in Tasmania. They gave me helpful advice before going out, including checking the weather and telling me the best day to visit Cradle Mountain, as well as suggesting that I bring food and warm drinks. They treated me like part of the family. Thanks to them taking me to many wonderful places, I was able to see wildlife such as penguins, pademelons, and platypuses, which was a truly amazing experience. The work was simple and flexible, mainly tasks like weeding and cleaning. The meals were always delicious, and I looked forward to them every day. Even though my English was limited, they were patient and taught me a lot about plants, animals, and life in Tasmania and Australia. I sincerely appreciate their kindness and care. They are amazing hosts, and I highly recommend staying with them.

I stayed at the wildlife park for 4 weeks as a volunteer and loved every day of it! Even came back for another week ;) It's such a beautiful place with super cute animals (squirrel gliders, wombats, a koala, wallabies, dingoes, and so on) and a really nice team of colleagues. We had so much fun together while working, going to the beach or having BBQs. I really enjoyed being out in nature so much, gardening, caring for and cuddeling the animals, watching beautiful sunsets, and trying the amazing food they make at the Clean Cravings Eatery (it's sooo good). David is a great guy, always friendly, open to new ideas, values other's opinions and has so many interesting things to tell - about the animals, travelling and building stuff to turn a car into a camper, thanks again for your help on that ;) I'll definetly be back someday! Wish you all the best :)

Jana, an authentic dancer, packed so much into the short time we spent together. She is someone who moves with a passion for her purpose and exceeds expectations in every task she undertakes. While highly organized on one hand, she is also incredibly in the flow and able to express herself in a truly authentic way. Especially when it came to dance, she was a complete performance artist. She was a full-spectrum volunteer. We shared our space with mutual respect and in a constructive manner. With us, she had her first chance to create a mural, and through diligent work, she left behind a beautiful artwork and a memory in just two days—a tree representing the transition of four seasons, its leaves blooming with rainbow light. To those who may wish to host her as a volunteer, I recommend opening your doors to her.

Ada was such a great help to our family. She was flexible to our needs and always did everything with a smile. She bonded with our son so quickly because of her positive loving energy. We would always have her back and you’d be so lucky to have her join your family.

I had the privilege to spend a month at this beautiful place. I am a 27-year-old traveling solo in my van and was looking for a place to feel connected to fellow humans again. Their place was a very good way to do so. Although Gin and Johan are very busy with their day-to-day lives, they try to help you, explain things, and teach you new skills (e.g., cooking, building, gardening, and learning Italian), where they can. They also love to go on trips with the kids, on which I was always happily invited. The description truly reflects what it is like to stay here: chaotic, in the middle of nature, and with SO much love for other people, animals, and nature. All in all, it was a very heart-warming experience. While I stayed here, every morning there was a "come together" which served both as a personal check-in and to discuss practical matters for the day. They also strive to do a talking circle every week to ensure good communication within the community. The working hours are very flexible, so you need some sense of responsibility and flexibility in taking up tasks and also in initiating your own projects. There is still so much to say about this place, but I would recommend you just go and try it out yourself ;)

A minha experiência no Biodiversidad foi boa e legal, onde pude trabalhar principalmente com a pintura, e, naturalmente, com os cuidados gerais da casa de Alicia e Jorge, um casal amigável e aberto. Foi uma honra e uma alegria conhecer as praias de Punta Rubia, La Pedrera, e mais, pois é lindo, as cores do céu, os animais e as plantas, a natureza do Uruguay. Me sinto agradecido e contemplado!

I came to a house of people I didn't know, I left as a friend and a part of family. Thank you for these 3 months together. Alex and Montse have made me feel at home from the day one. I was involved in all family activities and felt like a participant. Guillem and Bruna are very inteligent, thoughtful and well-behaving kids. We had many great adventures together, among many others we climbed, baked, travelled and played together. Living in Albiol was an experience that connected me with the nature and taught me a lot about the community they have built in this tiny place. I am very grateful for this time. See you in the future guys!

Dear Angelika, you are the reason I started with Workaway. I looked for alternatives that could help me move forward in life and came across your profile, where I saw myself reflected in your messages and felt understood. Even though you were the last stop on my “Workaway” journey, I am glad to have met you and learned about your life. You are an amazing woman who has achieved a lot in life without caring about the opinions of others, and you have discovered things that each of us can still learn from. In every little part, you see experience and value. Your therapeutic training and heart in the field of pedagogy, along with your common sense, show how much you can connect with people and support them. Even though we had to part ways early, I could not have regained my sleep anywhere else but with you. That means a lot to me, and you have also recognized what makes you such a warm-hearted person. Please stay as you are and continue exploring. Even though I cannot give a date at the moment, I look forward to being back in your home and life again! ❤️

Had a great three weeks in October spent with Annie in Tomar! I worked on renovations with Rob (someone you must take the time to get to know!) and worked with a larger group for the 7 day olive harvest (sometimes 3 - 9 people plus one dog!). The property is quiet and a good opportunity to recharge and do some real work. The lunch's were a favorite! We also worked closely with Annie's niece on the harvest and got to know her family. Would recommend if you're looking to work hard. Bonus points if you love to play cards!

Melissa and Rune welcomed me very spontaneously and gave me a wonderful time as part of their family. Their children, Joy and Noah, play very nicely together and are easy to get excited about activities. Our tasks were very pleasant. I especially enjoyed cooking and having dinner together in the evenings. Going for walks with Mishka felt much more like a gift than a task. I stayed there for three weeks in November, and even at that time of year it is a very beautiful place. The lake right in front of the house invites you to go ice swimming, and I would love to come back again in summer. My English is not very good, and everyone was very patient with me – thank you all so much!

Melissa & Martijn are absolutely fantastic! For me they are perfect in every way. They are very independent, well organised, mature, trustworthy, friendly and kind. Do not hesitate to take them on. Thanks guys for all your help and we hope to meet again one day! x

Coming from the south of Spain to Germany in the darkest, wettest and coldest time of year, still Elisa never lost her cheerful spirit. Elisa spent her time with us for an internship. With her psychological background she was bringing a very good view on the clients and was able to participate in the therapeutic sessions. She was able to connect to the clients, regardless their diagnosis. Even though Elisa did not have a lot of experience with horses before, she quickly learned the important basis and was a precious addition in the therapeutic processes. Elisa has a very good natural connection to animals and apart from the horses she spent a lot of time with our dog, who now has a new level of speed, due to their jogging trips. Also Elisa connected very well with our daughter, who liked her a lot. Elisa did every task very nicely and was always reliable. Communication with her was thoroughly great. We are looking forward to welcome Elisa back to our home anytime and wish her other great experiences on workaway.

Meri es una mujer increible. Su predisposicion, empatia y ganas de colaborar se destacan en ella. Si bien estuvo poco tiempo con nosotros , compartimos momentos muy bonitos. Just spent a fantastic 3 weeks at Sarah and John’s helping to bring in a bumper olive crop. Being there from the start of harvesting to tasting the end product - cans of 2025 Cortijo de la Plata’s very own extra virgin olive oil, made from the olives we picked, was incredibly special. Sarah and John are lovely people and great fun to be around. They welcome volunteers into their home and really care about giving them a wonderful experience in the place they love so much. Everything is very well-organised and expectations are clear. As a volunteer, you work hard (with plenty of breaks) in a team with John and sometime, if you are lucky even accompanied by music from his 80’s reggae playlist. The food is an absolute highlight. Every day Sarah prepares a lunchtime feast for the hungry harvesters. Sitting round at a table, laden with delicious dishes, perched on the side of the hill in bright sunshine and surrounded by spectacular views is something I will always remember. The evenings are cosy, gathered round the stove after a tasty dinner, with cats on laps, sharing stories and laughs and the occasional pub quiz, enjoying a glass of their very own home-made wine. I would absolutely recommend a stay with Sarah and John on their beautiful cortijo in the hills for a brilliant workaway experience.

We spent two weeks with Inken and had a really wonderful time. We worked about 3 hours per day. Jason helped with building the roof and other practical/handyman tasks, while I mainly helped with household work. Inken is an incredibly kind, warm and welcoming host. From the very beginning we felt comfortable and truly at home. She also has two super sweet dogs and a lovely cat, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a very positive experience and we are very grateful for the time we spent there. We can highly recommend Inken as a host.

We volunteered here as a couple and had a really positive experience. Even though it wasn’t harvest season, there was always enough to do, mainly general farm maintenance and helping where needed. The work felt fair and well organised. Everyone on the farm was incredibly kind and welcoming. The ladies working there were especially lovely - always helpful, warm and smiling, which created a very pleasant atmosphere throughout our stay. Mukunth did a great job coordinating the volunteers, making sure everything was clear and running smoothly, and he was always happy to help or give local tips. Mayoor is passionate and open in sharing his knowledge. A special highlight was joining him for a weekend trip to Bangalore to attend the Chocolate Festival, which was a unique and memorable experience. The food was another highlight - fresh, tasty and mostly traditional South Indian meals, always prepared with care. Overall, it was a meaningful cultural exchange and we would recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and friendly Workaway experience.

I stayed with Steef and Nelly for three months as a workawayer. After several disappointing hosts during my travels, this was the best thing that's happened to me in years. I did some gardening and DIY projects, and even prepared dinner. I'm very fond of them and hope to return someday.
