Alicia was great! Super practical and easy to get along with, she blended perfectly with our family life and helped get a couple of big jobs under control. She communicated her plans with us well beforehand and worked well alone as well as with us. I highly recommend inviting Alicia to stay. For us, she is always welcome back for a visit!

Mark has been the most amazing, handful, proactive wa ever. He set up the bar very high and we were so happy with him. 1. Toke care of Capu and Dobby 2. Built a chicken cup (DIY) 3. Built a shade for the future grill (DIY) 4. Garden maintenance, but detailed amazing job. 5. Removing layer of concrete from an entire wall. These duties make him be our most appreciated handy man ever, we only can spect nothing but success in his journey, we are sure that the light of the universe will guide his way, if he wants to come back, our project will be waiting.

I had an amazing week with Nuri in his farm in october. Nuri is an amazing person, and can share a lot about his knowledges in gardening and culture from all over the world. We exchange together with Google translation he is used to deal with it. His place is really relaxing, out of the city with amazing views on the moutains and quiet. I had two doggy friends from his house, willing to play, have cuddles and kept me also a good company. I helped Nuri to clean the garden for winter time, harvesting the last vegetables in the garden. Oh it's already said in the previous reviews but Nuri's cooking is fresh, so yummy and I wish you to try his Kuymak, it's fabulous ! Thank you Nuri for sharing this time together.

The moment we found their profile and decided to help out with this last minute housesit, Désirée had already written to us in the same moment, so it was a cosmic wink to definitely go help out. The connection was great from the beginning! Compared to some other workaway experiences in the past, we enjoyed the concise and unambiguous communication here so so much! All our questions were answered and we always knew exactly what was expected. We felt appreciated, welcome and respected. These are good people. We are grateful for the opportunity to experience life in a tiny house which was new to us, as well as our first experience with petsitting goats. For entrusting us with your home without even being on the same continent, you have our gratitude. It was a pleasure putting your guys' worries at ease for the time we stayed. Alles Liebe!

This lovely couple stayed with us for 3 days and helped move a huge amount of stone and soil with us. I would recommend them highly. Good conversation was had at dinner. We wish you both the best. Thank you.

Gordon and Judy are such lovely and warm people, I feel so grateful that I have been able to spend over a month with them and wish it could have been longer! I have absolutely loved my time staying at their home with their beautiful animals, Mr Joe is a beautiful friendly pig and I could stroke and cuddle the dogs (Bracan and Nikau) all day long; they both have unique and wonderful personalities and I will miss them very much! Princess gives you your daily dose of cuddles and Crikey’s long legs are one of a kind. I have learnt lots of new things out in the garden and have helped with weeding, cementing, varnishing the decking, fertilising the paddock, house sitting and feeding the menagerie! Judy and Gordon have an amazing outlook on life and I am lucky to have been able to get to know them. They have been so kind and welcoming and I would definitely recommend staying with them! They have certainly solidified to me what is important to value in life and have truly inspired me ☺️

What a beautiful girl our little pocket rocket, we also had a Italian boy name Simone with us they where both here for 3weeks,so polite,both wouldn't stop working, kept going all day love love them both,beautiful, honest,and fun, I just haven't got enough words to say how wonderful they where, please treat them with kindness, all the best beautiful people

We had a wonderful experience hosting Elsa. She is very kind, caring, and responsible. During her stay, she helped accompany and take care of our guests when they attended festivals, making sure they felt comfortable and well supported. She also took great care of our hedgehog, helped with cleaning around our place, and assisted with guest check-ins and check-outs when we were busy or not around. We really appreciated that we could trust her to handle things independently and with attention. In addition, she spent a great time with our friends and other team members, getting along easily and contributing to a warm, positive atmosphere. She is considerate, calm, and easy to communicate with. We are very grateful for her help and would happily recommend her to other hosts.

It was wonderful to have Eric with us. He was a great help in the house, cleaning, cooking etc., but I most of all loved the way he took care of our little kids. He was very reliable, they had lots of fun with him and they really, really loved him. Even our shy little boy went to Eric for cuddles and comfort. Thanks for everything, Eric. Welcome back any time!

Shayel came to us quite by chance, and stayed 1 week between another stay. She was a delight to host, friendly, good chats, respectful (laughed at my jokes!), easy going, worked very well without supervision and had better knowledge than most of garden work. she mostly latched bamboo to hide plastic wicking beds (more to do!), and weeded. Shayel also participated in CW action. Hoping to have her back for another bit!

Lucy spent the summer of 2025 working with various tasks at our retreat and learning center, in the village of Flatdal, in Norway. It has been wonderful to have Lucy with us, she is very passionate and has a lot of knowledge about cooking. She has been great at taking initiative, showing interest in gaining knowledge, her efficiency, as well as caring for the people around her. She has such a wonderful, humble, calm nature and I am very impressed with how she is pursuing to grow, to go outside her comfort zone and embrace whatever comes her way. Lucy has taken part in developing our sustainable learning center, working with wild harvest, plant-based cooking, gardening, permaculture, cleaning and interacting with guests. She has been an important part of our core team of developing the space and a joy to host.

Kim spent the summer of 2025 working with various tasks at our retreat and learning center, in the village of Flatdal, in Norway. It has been absolutely wonderful having Kim with us. She has been very good at taking initiative, showing interest in gaining knowledge, I am very impressed by her her efficiency, as well as her wonderful way of spreading smiles, taking care of the people around her and creating a positive atmosphere. Kim has taken part in developing our sustainable learning center, working with wild harvest, plant-based cooking, gardening, permaculture, cleaning and interacting with guests. She has been an important part of our core team of developing the space, and it was an absolute joy to host her.

Mo spent the summer of 2025 working with various tasks at our retreat and learning center, in the village of Flatdal, in Norway. I’ve had the opportunity to work with him on a daily basis, and have been consistently impressed with how eager he is to learn, how much he cares, concentrates and listens, his patience and very humble, sweet nature. Mo has taken part in developing our sustainable learning center, working with wild harvest, plant-based cooking, gardening, permaculture, cleaning and interacting with guests. He has been an important part of our core team during the summer months, spreading lots of good vibes. I absolutely recommend him as a volunteer!!

Emma is a very polite and talented person, very calm and always ready and available to help and support in all fields. She helped taking care of the chickens and rooster Ettore , cats, gardening, weeding, cleaning, maintenance for the main house, taking photos. I couldn't spend a lot of time with Emma because for working matters I was away but she continued to carry out her duties with an excellent way helping my mother and sister. Whenever she will come back to Sicily in the future, she has already a place to stay there. I highly recommend her. Thanks a lot for your help. I wish all the best for the future.

We spent two weeks at Pati’s farm and we really had a great time! It was a really nice cultural experience where we learned a lot on the farm life of Chileans. You won’t get bored with the tasks because we do a little bit of everything and switch tasks and roles often. We did everything from fruit picking, helping with the marmalade, cleaning, weeding, planting, watering and more ! The work hours on the farm are from 8 to 12 am, 5 days a week. If you exceed these hours, you can work less another day ! We were also happy to practice our Spanish. It is indeed a really good place to learn or practice Spanish, because Pati only speaks to us in Spanish and she is very patient. Even in two weeks we saw an improvement! Breakfast and lunch are provided, and it is possible to eat vegan. However, the time it takes to cook lunch for everybody is not included in the work hours. There was also no evening snack. Finally, do not get discouraged if she doesn’t answer your messages right away. Answering quickly may not be her biggest quality, but she is an amazingly warm, patient and welcoming host. You can definitely consider yourself lucky if you get the chance to spend time at Rei-san's place. The work is nice, maybe you will even have fun with it, and the experiences you will get are for a lifetime. Rei-san will try his best to recommend anything you wish for, and you will have the chance to take care of one of the most amazing dogs in the world. Thank you again for this unexpected and amazing adventure.

What a lovely small paradise on earth ! Thank you so much Phonephet and all of the family for your great hospitality and kindness. We really enjoyed sharing time with Vera Emma and Camban to teach a bit of english while playing all together. And who would not fall in love with Petunia the Buffalo ? We leave this place with our heart filled with gratitude and happiness. We hope to come back and spend more time with this lovely community and support once again this beautiful project.

Being with Elspeth and Kim was my first Workaway and I enjoyed every precious minute. The work was both therapeutic and fascinating. They have achieved so much in restoring the land back to natural planting and still have much to do. I was treated with great consideration, Elspeth taught me so much with patience and generosity. To work in such a stunning land and water environment was a huge privilege. So many birds and species of plant to listen to and nurture. Unforgettable!

Genki is a very respectful, kind, and talented person. He is a Japanese artist who creates manga and comic-style illustrations, and during his stay he made beautiful drawings of our animals, the hill areas, and the main spaces of the farm (pool, quincho, and common areas) and that amazing art we will use it to impove our Glamping, Im sure it will be a very imprtant part of it. He has a good level of Spanish, is very polite, always replies to messages, and showed a great attitude and willingness to help at all times. We are very grateful for his visit and his excellent work. Genki is always welcome back , this is his home whenever he wants to return. Thank you very much! Genki es una persona muy respetuosa, amable y talentosa. Es un artista japonés que crea ilustraciones estilo manga y cómic, y durante su estadía realizó hermosos dibujos de nuestros animales, de las zonas del cerro y de los principales espacios del campo (piscina, quincho y áreas comunes), esos increibles diseños los vamos a usar para mejorar nuestro Glamping y estoy seguro que va a ser parte importante de nuesto recinto. Tiene un buen nivel de español, es muy educado, siempre responde los mensajes y mostró en todo momento una excelente disposición y ganas de ayudar. Working at this place was honestly one of the best experiences ever! Everyone at the hostel is incredibly kind, helpful, and respectful, which makes it feel like a real family. You also get great discounts and the chance to take part in amazing activities around Granada. The volunteer room is very comfortable and spacious, and the workload is totally fair. Working at the bar was so much fun, we met people from all over the world and learned so many new skills along the way. We absolutely loved the entire team and will miss them a lot. We would 100% come back if we ever get the chance!
