We enjoyed Dan and Graces company and especially appreciated the Kiwi dinner they put on for us. Our work environment was not suited for their skill sets. They would be better suited in a supervised group setting with no cell connectivity at the work site. They left 3 weeks before our leaving me short handed.

Katarina was such a delightful addition to our home. She was thoughtful and kind and fitted in well. She cooked lovely cookies for us and was attentive and thorough with the work we gave her which included cleaning, gardening and looking after our dogs. She's lovely and we would definitely recommend her.

before coming to Benji's I didn't know what to expect at all! I arrived at this amazingly mad cabin in the middle of the woods where I spent my 2 weeks helping out with tetra packing and torching his woodwork frame. benji taught me the correct method for cutting firewood and using his rifle as well as helping me out with making my own cutting board. it was rlly good fun to meet benji's neighbours and friends in puerto varas and Puerto Montt. He was super welcoming:) I would definitely recommend this to someone who likes an adventure away from wifi! we also had to collect water most days for daily uses (shower, sink, cooking etc) from the river, which was a great experience, but may not be for everyone! I also loved the adventure of hitchiking into town for supplies, but this again may not be for everyone. I had an AMAZING time with Benji and was very sad to leave, but hope to see him and all his friends soon. muchas gracias por todo, - Duende!

I never thought I would be able to live an experience like this. I arrived on this island, and it almost felt unreal to think that I would be doing volunteer work in such a paradise. I worked in the hospitality area, between the bar and the dining service, and I had the chance to work closely with the entire team: incredible workers and truly wonderful people. I also had the pleasure of meeting the manager and owner of this project: a very young man, yet extremely capable and determined. No one puts pressure on you and, most importantly, no one forces you to do anything. There is only one thing to do: help and collaborate. I sincerely thank everyone for their hospitality and friendship. I truly hope that one day I will be able to come back and hug you all again—and above all, thank you once more in person. See you soon.

I arrived at this school and was immediately welcomed with great respect and kindness. I had the opportunity to teach English to the students of Mister Soaker, the founder of the school. People like him are truly rare in this world: a man who can do everything and always finds a solution to any problem. He taught me how to fish and how to cook what we caught using whatever we had available: a beer can became a pot, and small sticks were used as forks. I never saw him get angry. He was always very helpful to everyone and deeply loved by all. My real journey in Cambodia was this very experience at the school. Living with them every day and visiting the villages was something I will hardly ever forget. I stayed with them for about a month, as I continued my journey through Southeast Asia. However, after three months traveling through Vietnam and the Philippines, before returning home, I wanted to go back and say goodbye one more time. I truly miss you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your hospitality. I love you all.

Mariani (Mary) is a delightful, warm-hearted woman I had the pleasure to host for 2 weeks. We had lovely conversations about all manner of things and I learned a lot about Mary's home country, Brasil. While staying with me Mary helped prep several rooms of the house for painting, cleaned and organised all around the house, helped prepare meals, and occasionally walked the dog, (even though she'd never walked a dog before, she was a natural). She always did an amazing job and was happy to try new things. I can highly recommend Mary to any other host. She's a great catch!

My boyfriend and I stayed with Diogenes and Leonor, a kindhearted and generous couple, and it was a great experience! We worked 5h per day, mostly in the garden from 9 to 12pm and again from 2 to 4pm. Leonor cooked us delicious meals everyday. You can use the kitchen freely, we also cooked French dish for them. There isn't much to do around Combita (no hiking or activities) but you can enjoy the lovely finca which is quite big. On your day off you can visit Villa de Leyva (1h30 away). It was also a great way to practice Spanish since the host don't speak English at all, and therefore a great cultural exchange here in Colombia. Even the people in the small village are very sweet and friendly. The host's son, Julian, organised our coming and was always very helpful. It's a lovely family who has a lot to share. Thanks again !!

Our stay with Brett, despite being less than a week, was incredibly enjoyable! He was a very flexible and accommodating host with regards to the work, letting us combine hours and do full days so that we'd be able to have full days off. He was also very thorough in guiding us with the use of any machines like the log splitter and riding lawn mower and making sure we were comfortable before he let us work independently. What we really loved about our stay though were all the conversations we had over meals! He was very open to sharing stories and about himself and about his experiences. Brett fed us really well, providing us with morning tea when we worked, and 3 hearty meals everyday. His house has beautiful views, especially when you see the morning sun rises above the hills from his dining table. The room we had was really comfortable as well. We'd highly recommend Brett as a host to anyone!

esta fue mi primera experiencia en Galápagos. Lo que más me gustó es que vives rodeado de arte. me quedé unos días ayudando a Luis y Blanca y los dos son muy amables y acogedores. Las tareas son por la mayoría ayudar en el desayuno (de 6:15 a 9) y hacer unos check-ins (por el tema del inglés). La ubicación es buenísima y el trabajo sencillo. Durante mis poquitos días aquí me sentí verdaderamente en casa. Muchas gracias por todo <3

Première expérience workaway pour moi, et quelle expérience ! J'y suis restée 2 mois et demi et je ne sais pas par où commencer... - Le lieu est un vrai petit coin de paradis, bordée par une lagune dans un cratère de volcan, la vue et s'y baigner est magique. On est entouré par la nature, la végétation et les animaux, les chants des oiseaux est la musique qui émerveille chaque jours avec les singes hurleurs qui viennent vous rendre visite, un véritable endroit pour se ressourcer et en prendre pleins les yeux ! - La nourriture est un mélange de plats français et Nica, c'était juste délicieux et les cocktails sont les meilleurs que j'ai pu goûter au Nicaragua. - Le staff est toujours souriant, polie, adorable, il a été très facile de créer des liens avec eux et très difficile des les quitter... - Mon travail à été de réaliser du contenu pour leurs réseaux sociaux, Iban et Rafa m'ont fait confiance et m'ont tout laisser gérer sur mon organisation, mes prises de vues, mon planning etc... et je leur en remercie car c'était important pour moi de faire les choses comme je le sentais et d'avoir cette liberté pour laisser exprimé ma créativité. J'aimerai enfin parler de mes hôtes, Iban et Rafa, car on garde le meilleur pour la fin. Je vous remercie du fond du cœur car grâce à vous j'ai pu vivre une belle aventure, de belles rencontres, une expérience incroyable, partager et apprendre, et tout cela m'a beaucoup apporté et je pense fortement que ça m'a changé. Je me suis sentie épaulée, soutenue, gratifiée. Vous avez été présent pour moi à chaque instant. Merci d'être vous, merci pour tout <3 Je vous en serais toujours reconnaissante ! Très bonne experience dans cette auberge, elle est propre et bien entretenue. J ai passé 3 semaines la ba et j aurais pu rester plus on s y sent très bien.

fue un placer pasar un rato con César y Julio :) la comunicación es suficiente ayudé por la mayoría con la traducción de los tours y un poco con la limpieza. César puede responder a todo tipo de preguntas y tiene unos conocimientos muy profundizados. encontré comida en la cocina y en el jardín, y sobres del restaurante después del domingo. El horario suele ser de 9 a 11/12 por el primer tour, con la tarde libre. César siempre está dispuesto a comer juntos y charlar :) Si eres una persona adaptable y amante de la naturaleza, te recomiendo hacer voluntariado aquí. Gracias también a los otros dos voluntarios por la compañía <3 os deseo lo mejor, cuídaos y espero volver a visitaros ;) un abrazo ps. el último bus de Puerto Ayora sale del mercado sobre las 17:05, a veces puedes conseguirlo cuando llegas con la lancha de las 15 de otra isla y te puedes ahorrar 7$ del taxi más barato

Milena was a super star with working .We gave her the task of beautifying a small Casita which involved sanding varnishing and painting .She worked meticulously ,was always on time and has a great wirk ethic.She is intelligent and loves to surf.We also all enjoyed lostening to her sing .We would highly recommend her as a volunteer .

I spent two wonderful months in Kilpisjärvi at Karoliina's house. The whole family is incredible, everyone has their own unique personality and is incredibly calm, kind, and trusting. They made me feel at home, always inviting me to participate in their activities and giving me my own space. The time flew by much faster than I would have thought, with all the activities we shared that week. From my perspective, I couldn't have had a better experience. I've grown so much and want to came back to tiny, isolated Kilpisjärvi. Leaving was really hard, and I miss you all so much. A warm hug to the whole family and staff Letizia 😊

Owen has been an incredible support in teaching our grade 8 students. His ability and patience to connect with learners truly stood out. He had this warm smile creating a warm and positive feeling. Over time, he became more than just a volunteer, he became one of us. His presence brought both professionalism and a sense of belonging making it easy to appreciate the value he added . He will be greatly missed by all of us. Wishing him nothing but the best and hope to see each other again.

I was in New Zealand for the better part of two months, and these folks were my first hosts. And what a treat they were. The work tasks were well thought-out, and easily communicated. And it felt good to see it done. And more importantly, Margie made time to drive me around to all the pretty sights and fun activities Taranaki had to offer

I had a wonderful experience staying with Liz for around three weeks. Even though she wasn’t usually hosting Workawayers when I reached out, she welcomed me warmly into her city house. During my stay, I helped with tasks like taping, lunch prep, walking the dog, folding laundry, watering plants, cleaning the fridge, fireplace, basement bedroom and bathroom ceiling, and doing dishes. I truly enjoyed our conversations, and her dog Goose is incredibly sweet. The neighborhood is peaceful and pleasant. While it’s a bit farther from the city center, it’s very convenient if you can use the train, and I loved walking around the quiet streets. I also spent a few days at her lovely daughter’s home, helping with taping, painting, and cleaning. Our exchanges were inspiring, and I already miss her! I highly recommend staying with Liz and her family, they made my stay a truly pleasant experience!
