Description
Hi! I’m Yuriko, a Japanese traveller currently in Australia on a Working Holiday visa.
I’m a friendly, responsible and easy-going person who enjoys meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and trying new things. I’m also clean, organised and a non-smoker.
I worked as a System Engineer in Japan for 5 years, so I’m used to being responsible, working as part of a team, and learning new things quickly. Since coming to Australia, I’ve also been working and living in a shared house, so I’m comfortable adapting to a new environment and helping with everyday household tasks.
I especially love animals, nature and outdoor activities. I’m very interested in experiencing farm life, especially working with horses, and learning how to care for animals. I don’t have much experience with horses yet, but I’m very keen to learn and I’m happy to start with basic tasks and follow instructions carefully.
I’m happy to help with cleaning, cooking, gardening, feeding animals, general farm work, or anything else that needs to be done. I enjoy staying active and don’t mind getting my hands dirty!
I’m currently planning to visit Melbourne and would ideally like to stay with a host for around 1–2 weeks from around September 24, 2026.
For me, Workaway is not just about finding somewhere to stay. I’d love to become part of everyday life with my host, contribute to the household or farm, meet new people, and experience a side of Australia that I wouldn’t experience as a normal tourist.
I’m especially looking for a friendly and welcoming host where I can learn something new, enjoy nature, and have a memorable experience.
I’m looking forward to meeting you! 😊 -

Jenny was always patient with me because my English is not very good. She spoke slowly and explained things in different ways so I could understand. I really enjoyed learning about the differences between Japan and Australia through … read more
The daily tasks were varied and rewarding. On sunny days, I mainly helped outdoors with weeding, watering the garden, gathering firewood, and taking care of the animals. It was such a great learning experience feeding and assisting with the exercise of their 7 horses, as well as spending quality time … read more
