Description

Canadian, 27 years old. I have lived and worked in many countries around the world, primarily as an English teacher, occasionally doing other things. I have just left Vietnam after living there for about two and a half years.

I used to work for a few years in the construction industry, primarily on building and renovating exteriors and facades of houses in Canada (siding and etc); I do not know very much about other specific aspects of construction (framing, electrical, landscaping) but I know how to use tools, learn pretty quickly by observing, and generally speaking I'm not too much of an idiot.

I am a musician as a side-hobby, I travel with my gear (it's very light) and often work on songs and musical projects in my free time, when I can. I release my music online through various streaming platforms. I can DJ, and I do have some modest equipment in my pack with me which I could use for performances or background music somewhere if that was a relevant skill wanted by the host. I'm always interested in jamming or exploring anything musical. I can play several different instruments. I am by no means incredible at what I do but I'm certainly pretty good, I'm confident about that.

I like to think I'm very friendly, open, social and welcoming to anybody that I meet, and I do well working with others, even if I have just met them. Most of my adult life has been spent in various places around the world and amongst many different communities of people.

I have a lot of experience working with children, from ages 4-17.

My primary occupation is as an English teacher. I have an English literature degree and Cambridge CELTA. I have lived and worked as an English teacher in some capacity in Europe, Africa and Asia. I have a lot of experience working with children from ages 4-17, as well as adults of various ages.

I have a few years of experience working in the construction industry in Canada, building and renovating home exteriors (specifically - siding, soffit, fascia). I don't have experience with other common aspects of construction (framing, electrical, landscaping) but I know how to use tools and learn quickly.

I'm very musical, as a side-hobby I'm usually working on musical projects in my free time with equipment I have brought with me in my pack. I can play various instruments. I am capable of performing music in some capacity if that was a relevant skill wanted by the host. I primarily produce and record various kinds of electronic music, and occasionally record and mix acoustic instruments. I love jamming with people for fun.
