  • Description

My family and friends are my most profound source of happiness and motivation. What I did while still living at home, I did for them.

But since I've recently come back from my first backpacking trip on which I've made so many new experiences and learned so much more about myself, I now know that I am doing more and more for myself, I am figuring out what my own goals are, and am working towards those. One of those goals, or more like dreams, has always been to see the whole world, or at least as much of it as I possibly can ;). That was my main motivation behind signing up to be a workawayer. I love learning new things, new languages and skills. For example, I am very curious about sustainable farming, eating and living in general. Another one of my goals is to learn how to sail and more about our oceans and their ecosystem in general. I am also very interested about working in Hotels and Hostels because I can see myself working in this field later on in my life and want to learn as much as possible about the different tasks and responsibilities awaiting me.

My hobbies include not only traveling and everything great that comes with that, but I am also very passionate about books ( and of course, reading them). I want to study world literature after the Gap Year I am taking right now.
Another thing I am passionate about doing in my free time is listening to music. It always boosts my mood when I need it to. I love singing and did spent about 6 months learning how to play keyboard. I had to stop because of the stress I was experiencing in school, but I would like to continue learning.

I am a very open and positive person. I love meeting new people, and exchange any kind of knowledge they and I want to hear/ talk about.
Like I already mentioned, I love traveling and am a very adventurous person. Going on hikes and being out in nature gives me such joy, but I am also always curious to see and experience different/ new cities, to see what defines the history, culture and the people living there.

  • More details about your skills

First of all I want to state that I love learning new things or gaining expertise in the things I already know how to do. So if you don't a skill you need from a workawayer in this description, just let me know about it and I will do everything I can to learn about what you need me to do.
My strongest skill is probably my empathy. I am good with people, especially kids, because I am a very calm and approachable person. I appreciate a surrounding filled with harmony and try to create that wherever I go.
I am happy to help with all the household tasks. Wether its laundry, dishes, general cleaning etc., I have done it before, and I would be happy to do it again :) Another household skill I have is cooking and baking. I always love experimenting with recipes, or even making up new ones. I am always open to try and make the traditional recipes my grandma gave me vegan, or trying completely new things that modern chefs share. It's always fun, and just a great feeling when the people you cook or bake for love it.
I love being creative. Wether its during DIY- or renovation projects (like painting walls e.g.), or more personal and small thing like scrapbooking, making photo albums, crocheting or sewing. I, for example, sewed my own prom dress this summer.
Another thing about me is that I love sports. I have been in a long-distance-running team for 10 years now, I love swimming, Yoga and Pilates as well, and my favorite sport is Volleyball. I am confident I would be able to help or instruct someone in any of these. During my year of solo-traveling I've learned how much I appreciate doing all these sports outside. Especially hiking I have come to love. There is always something new and exciting outside to see, even if you're walking the same path for the 100th time.
I like working with and caring for animals as well. I have experience with rabbity, cats, dogs, cows and chicken, and am looking forward to learning how to care for even more animals.
The last skill I want to mention is my ability to organize things. Wether it's an event or a chaotic closet, I'm excited about it. I have only ever planned minor events, but they were all a success :)
Oh and I could definitely cut your hair aswell if you need it ;)
