Description
Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence.
Some wish for a twin in their life, now the great news is you can have two – Ming and Moon, a pair of twin sisters 'escaped' from Hong Kong. With enough patience and faith on both ends, we can communicate in English (learnt since kindergarten) comfortably ;)
Love to teach one or two phrases of our native languages, Mandarin (Chinese) and Cantonese (Chinese) for fun or science.
Living most of our life in Hong Kong, we're growing sick of the nine-to-nine jobs and the philosophy of consuming your way to happiness . Meanwhile always wondering what the other side of life could be for us. Ta-da! Here we are, on the land of Canada starting a one-year exploration or you may say mess around and find out.
In the hope of being more self-sufficient, currently we focus on getting into a more active lifestyle and making our own food such as bread, yogurt and pastry.
Enamoured with pets and kids, we don't mind petsitting and playing with children outside of farm chores. -

More details about your skills
We both have worked as cafe all-rounders for 2 years. Therefore, we are no stranger to physically demanding tasks such as dishwashing, food prepping, cooking, coffee making, lifting heavy objects, cleaning and handling customer complaints.
In spare time, we enjoy being goofy and silly by doing creative works like collage, video editing, journaling and writing poems.
After wwoofing 2 months at Henry’s Blue Jay lake farm, we’ve learnt and laboured in the fields so much that we’d like to proudly and unabashedly call ourselves one tenth of island farmers.
Milking cows, collecting eggs, digging potatoes, macheteing corn stalks, picking apples, making apple sauce, canning, drying apple slices, making onion pits from hay, sharpening sawmill teeth and so forth are one big fun “jailbreak” from the fast city life that is disconnected with nature. -

They work hard and really shine in the kitchen. Great cooks and always jumping up to do dishes.
