Description
Hi there!
My name is Vanessa, I'm 28 and come from Italy. I've just completed a PhD in Anthropology with a focus on the Caribbean, and I'm ready to take some time to travel and live new experiences.
I am passionate about discovering cultures, languages, and traditions. I love listening to people's stories and learning about their unique journeys, which has made me realize just how valuable it is to be a good listener - a quality I discovered during my recent travels. I'm also a French and English teacher, and I've been working in a hospital school, where I helped bring a bit of normality to kids' lives. This experience taught me a lot about resilience, empathy, and the power of education.
I'm an open-minded and sociable person, always ready for new experiences and share meaningful moments with the people I meet along the way. I’d describe myself as a bit of a romantic, with a big taste for adventures and, of course, a good cup of coffee.
In my free time, you'll often find me writing, practicing yoga, or reading. I also have many hobbies that keep me busy and happy: I enjoy painting, crocheting, and... tasting tropical fruits !🌱☕️🎨Interests

More details about your skills
I’ve picked up a range of skills from my experiences in teaching languages, working in tourism, and diving into hands-on projects. I teach French and English, and I love making language learning enjoyable and engaging for my students. I also have a background in tourism, where I worked as a tour guide both in Spain and the UK. These roles taught me how to connect with people, adapt quickly, and communicate with all kinds of groups.
My mom and I share a love for gardening, and we enjoy taking care of our garden together. It’s such a great way to bring positive energy into our home and stay close to nature.
I’m also a fan of DIY and small renovation projects! Recently, I helped some friends renovate a house, where I learned to use tools like drills and sandpaper, paint walls, assemble furniture, and add finishing touches. We had so much fun, and I discovered how much I enjoy creative projects that transform spaces and spread good vibes.
I’m always happy to learn something new, whether it’s a DIY trick or a practical skill. Every day feels like a chance to grow and take on new challenges. I also have a soft spot for animals—I’m the proud owner of two adorable kittens who bring so much joy to my life.Age

What else ...
Good music, food, and great company are among the things that I appreciate the most.
I love to be around people, whether it be during parties or for easy board games nights with friends. I also love good food and - I'm so Italian in this - I do believe that sharing food and cooking for someone else is a real act of love! Some more information
