  • Description

Hey there! We’re TRISTANO AND ISOTTA ( yes, like the old medieval tale) — or at least, that’s what we call each other. It started as a playful nickname (from a middle name and a joke) and turned into a kind of promise to share something special.
We’re a YOUNG ITALIAN COUPLE, always busy with our hands: COOKING, EDITING, BABYSITTING, FIXING, DRAWING, WRITING, RESTORING, PLAYING INSTRUMENTS AND DANCING. We could say, life ENTHUSIAST!
He runs his activity where he RESTORES and resells old things, mostly lamps, has a background in kitchens (pizzaiolo, cook), is a bit of a nerd, loves finding CLEVER SOLUTIONS and keeping the MOOD LIGHT.
She studies ART HISTORY in Venice, has been DANCING since forever, works in a pizzeria, loves editing short VIDEOS for core memories with her siblings, sees MAGIC anywhere, is a philosopher at heart and loves LEARNING BY DOING.
Together, we’ve walked part of the VIA FRANCIGENA, helped out at LOCAL FESTIVALS, rebuilt a chicken coop, and fed pigs on a MOUNTAIN FARM, and we’re now fixing up an old WAREHOUSE to turn into our HOME: we love CHALLENGES and ADVENTURES.
But our real shared passion is FLEA MARKETS — we love hunting for OLD TREASURES to BRING BACK TO LIFE, because we truly believe that with care and attention, ANYTHING CAN BE FIXED and VALUED AGAIN.
We enjoy being around PEOPLE, learning from NATURE, and living with LESS TECHNOLOGY and more genuine, human connections. We’re not traveling to “disconnect” — but to CONNECT: with PEOPLES, STORIES, and NEW WAYS OF LIFE. And we’d love to share a bit of our SIMPLE, COMMUNITY-BASED WAY OF LIVING wherever we go.
    THANK YOU!

  • More details about your skills

Tristan studied CHINESE at the University of Bologna after graduating from a TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL in surveying, but in real life… he’s truly done a bit of EVERYTHING! From SALES in the luminous signage industry to working as a PIZZA CHEF, MOVER, POSTMAN, and even a COOK IN LONDON.More recently, he became a RESTORER AND RESELLER of VINTAGE AND MODERN DESIGN OBJECTS, especially LAMPS – a passion he pursues with great care and a love for the HIDDEN STORIES behind each item. He just enrolled in a DESIGN UNIVERSITY in Vicenza (our hometown) to dive deeper into what he truly loves. Together with his dad and Isotta, he’s restoring the WAREHOUSE where they plan to live. He has volunteered in summer camps, local festivals but his strongest experience was this year in ETHIOPIA , where he was hosted by local nuns. He is a father of a 3-year-old daughter so that's a lot of experience with kids!
He’s also a NATURAL COMEDIAN – always ready with a joke and great at keeping spirits high. Lately, he’s started learning the GUITAR, chasing a LIFELONG DREAM with calm persistence. He’s passionate about HISTORY, BOARD GAMES, and of course… PIZZA!
Isotta has a real passion for PEOPLE AND THEIR STORIES. She studies ART HISTORY in VENICE, the ultimate city of art – and it completely stole her heart. She’s always been close to ELDERLY PEOPLE and has lots of experience with CHILDREN: every summer, she coordinates SUMMER CAMPS for kids in her hometown, and loves spending time with her little 3-year-old BROTHER. She works at a TAKEAWAY PIZZERIA with Tristan, doing a bit of everything – from the CASH REGISTER to the KITCHEN – and always brings her positive energy. She’s been dancing for many years, and at class she’s the one people ask: “What do you drink in the morning?!” – that’s how much ENERGY AND ENTHUSIASM she brings (though she knows when to tone it down… sometimes! 😄).
She has volunteered in many different settings: at CARITAS, in MOUNTAIN FARMS as an AU PAIR looking after both children and animals, and even in a COMMUNITY CENTER IN BARCELONA.
Another passion of hers is VIDEO STORYTELLING: she loves filming and editing to share her experiences. It’s a hobby she’s pursued for years, and she even took a PODCASTING COURSE to refine her editing skills. Most of all, she loves TRAVELLING and seeing with her own eyes what she studies – and she’s deeply inspired by helping Tristan in his work, uncovering the HIDDEN STORIES BEHIND OBJECTS, while she focuses on the STORIES BEHIND PEOPLE.
We’re both NATIVE ITALIAN SPEAKERS and fluent in ENGLISH. Isotta is also learning FRENCH (since she is planning an Erasmus trip there) and excited to practice it more!
