Hola a todxs! Soy Gaby, una australiana de 30 años, y actualmente estoy viajando por Centroamérica. Me interesan y me apasionan temas como la justicia social, los derechos humanos, la biología marina, la conservación ambiental, y derechos LGBTQIA+. En mi tiempo libre, me gusta hacer senderismo, nadar, bucear, cocinar, y conocer gente nueva. Me considero una persona amable, simpática, y extrovertida, y siempre estoy dispuesta a probar y intentar cosas nuevas. Mi objetivo en esta única vida que tenemos es hacer del mundo un lugar mejor para los demás y dejarlo un poco mejor de como lo encontré.

Hi all! I’m Gaby. I am a 30 year old from Australia, currently travelling through Centroamérica.
I’m passionate about social justice and intersectional human rights matters, marine science and ecological conservation, and LGBTQIA+ rights. In my down time, I enjoy swimming, diving, hiking, cooking and meeting new people. I'm outgoing, friendly, and always willing to give something a go. I studied Global Studies (Spanish and Latin American studies) and Science (Genetics). Throughout my degree I worked as an English language assistant, teaching to international students. Since graduating I have worked in project administration, event support, and at a garden & landscape centre. I also have significant experience in hospitality, retail, and customer support industries. I feel very comfortable working with people from a range of cultural and social backgrounds, and with varied physical abilities. I enjoy hands-on work (I helped build my camper van with my dad!), including cleaning and gardening, and I’m very computer proficient. I’m also an experienced house and dog sitter, and I take pride in keeping my personal spaces clean and tidy. In the instance there’s something I’m not so sure about, I’m always open to asking questions and giving it a crack.
English is my first language and I also speak Spanish proficiently.
