Description
I'm new to workaway! I am an engineer and a permaculture teacher (as well as an artist / musician). I am particularly passionate and knowledgeable about plants/botany, gardening, orchard care, preservation/fermentation and pretty much all the off grid skills. I have traveled all over studying various permaculture and natural building projects. I left a career in the tech industry to devote my life to sustainable projects and learning everything I could about regenerative agriculture and off-grid living. I have lots of experience living in community, so I am clean, punctual and respectful of spaces :)

More details about your skills
I am trained as an engineer and i transitioned into being a permaculture teacher, so i love solving problems and working on land! I can design, fix and build just about anything, and i enjoy a technical challenge. I have tons of experience working in agriculture (i owned and built a farming community in costa rica, and currently own one in hawaii), particularly in permaculture. I did a natural building apprenticeship in peru and also studied/worked on about two dozen farms around the world. I've built with cob, rammed earth, timber, adobe and more. Made earth ovens, rocket stoves, houses, solar systems, water catchment systems, passive water heaters... you name it! I am passionate about plants in particular and know quite a bit about botany, natural medicine, propagation, cloning, orchard care, fermentation/preservation, etc. I also have extensive experience repairing appliances, engines and machines and can do metal fab and welding, electrical work, and a lot more.
I believe in building community and taking care of the earth as well as people. Sustainability in all relationships, with people or plants, is a core principle of my permaculture teaching and I would also love a chance to teach if there was a need for that too (I'm an accredited teacher)!
I also paint and produce music... and i love traveling and immersing myself in other cultures and ways of being.
Basically i love to just do things.
