Description
Hello! My name is Sarah. I am originally from a small town in the south of Italy, but my studies brought me to England for a while, and my love for tea has brought me to Japan later.
You might have guessed it already, I love tea!
Visiting Taiwan has for long been a dream of mine. My interest in being in the countryside and my strong will of “being of help” makes Workaway the most adequate way to fulfil this dream of visiting Taiwan.
I plan to visit Taiwan from mid-September to mid-October.
I am currently in Japan, where I volunteered for three months, and now working for one year in a tea farm. Besides farming and processing tea, I supported some construction and building maintenance. The achievement I am most proud of, was supporting the town’s carpenter and learning from him, when restoring and building rooms in an abandoned building that was acquired by the farm.
When not active in the tea fields, or not holding a screwdriver, you can find me behind my laptop, editing videos and short documentaries!

Throughout one year in a small tea farm, I have gained experience in farming (harvesting tea, trimming, sencha processing), and I enjoyed taking part in construction and building maintenance.
I much enjoy editing videos and creating short documentaries, and have experience in blogging and social-media promotion.
Thanks to my background in the hospitality sector, I have developed organizational and communication skills.
