  • Description

Hi everyone, my name is Rosie, I'm 20 years old and from Edinburgh. I have spent the last couple of years living abroad, which taught me a lot but especially the value of community and nature. Being away from home has made me realise how special Scotland is and before going anywhere else I really want to know the history and nature of this country :)
I'm an enthusiastic, conscientious, hardworking nature lover and I love to learn new skills. I've taken up a few different hobbies in my time... including knife forging, whitling, gardening, carpentry and massage and I'm always keen to get stuck in. I love to spend time in the outdoors and I'm really interested in learning more outdoor practical skills like foraging, gardening, map reading and bird identifying.
I start studying at University this September but before then I really want to spend this time exploring Scotland, working and getting to know a community.

  • More details about your skills

    >Though definitely not a trained carpenter by any means, I am fairly competent when it comes to building and being handy. I completed 4 months of a construction course and am currently building a mini library for my community park.
    >I've had several hospitality jobs in restaurants, bars and I am very competent working as part of a team, order taking, making drinks and handling money. I'm experienced in friendly, polite and engaging customer service too.
    >I've spent over a year volunteering for a climate activist group. In this role I was very people-facing. I often delivered talks and non-violence trainings and leafleted people on the streets. I think this taught me a lot about having confidence and using non-violent communication to communicate.
    >I'm competent with manual labour and household tasks like cooking, cleaning, heavy lifting and gardening.
    >I've been to art school and am quite handy with clay and pottery.
    >I'm a trained masseuse
