Description

We are both junior doctors working on the South Coast of England. We are taking a break in our careers to spend time travelling, and we are excited to experience and learn about other people's cultures. We love food and enjoy discovering new dishes/recipes.

We are both qualified doctors with experience working in the NHS.

Riya:
Experience in general surgery, acute and emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, general practice.
I have also spent time volunteering with the Medical Research Council in the Gambia both on the ward at the hospital in Fajara and on rural outreach teams.
I have experience teaching English as a foreign language for 3-15 year old students in Lima, Peru.
I spent over 7 years working part-time as a bartender/waitress, including making cocktails and using a coffee machine.
I can knit and crochet and I practise yoga.
I am a level 2 BASI qualified ski instructor.
Languages: English (fluent), Spanish (intermediate), French (beginner)

Rasa:
Experience in general surgery, acute and emergency medicine, psychiatry, ENT.
I have spent time working in South Africa in a busy and austere medical environment. I also have experience working in the service industry.
Aside from working, I am an avid writer and photographer and have published in several magazines. In my spare time, I love to practice my surfing and explore local cities and surrounding nature!
