Description

I would describe myself as a sensitive and reflective person. I am at a point in life where I am contemplating how I want to shape my life and my relationship to the world around me. In this light I am looking to have new creative interchange with other beings (human or non-human) .

In my free time I like to move my body, currently I really enjoy playing capoeira. I have also noticed I like to create things, for example physical creation with my hands, but also in capoeira I realize you create something with another person through play. This is something that brings me a deep joy and I would like to find more ways to cultivate this in my life.

I grew up at the intersection of different cultures, having an Indonesian mother and a Dutch father, and like to befriend people from varying cultural/social backgrounds. This has taught me to (endeavour to) be open to the different ways people experience the world.

In previous workaways I have gained some experience in gardening, building and crafting. I am a good visual and technical thinker and can come up with creative solutions. I am good at crafting things with my hands. I have experience in physical work at workaways as well as different jobs at restaurants and supermarkets. I am strong even though not a very large girl :).
I also have some experience and enjoy cooking for larger groups of people.

I have a BSc degree in Nanobiology, which entails using physics and mathematics to analyze complex biological systems. Afterwards I have studied and done some work in applied mathematics. These experiences have taught me to approach technical problems analytically and critically, and to communicate about complex concepts at the intersection of different (scientific) disciplines.

I am fluent in Dutch and English, have some language skill in Indonesian, and can speak/understand a bit of German, French, Spanish, Portuguese.
