👨🏼 MARTIN:

I'm 28 and born in the Czech Republic. Now, Denisa and I are itching to spend a year in New Zealand, on the hunt for interesting jobs, diving into volunteering, and living the dream with a Working Holiday.

I am interested in sustainability, arboriculture, self-sustainable living, and have a deep interest in altered states of consciousness and the development of body and spirit. I am involved in parkour training, rock climbing, and juggling.

I strive to have a wide range of skills in my life:
● I have a lot of work experience organizing and building dozens of music festivals or cultural events, so I'm skilled at a lot of manual labor and can be a creative problem solver.
● I work for arborists and plant trees in a non-profit organization.
● I am licensed in high ropes work.

I spent the time before the covid pandemic traveling in Europe, Asia and the Canary Islands. I have traveled to many countries, and worked in a few:

● For example, I built a solar power plant in Hungary.
● In Germany, I built tiny houses made out of containers.
● In the Canary Islands, as part of WorkAway, I converted the garden of a family home into a kingdom of peace and kindness,
and other varied activities.

From 2020 to the present, I settled back in the Czech Republic and have been doing creative work in a marketing agency, where I exercise the creative and imaginative part of my personality.

I speak English, (Czech and Slovak of course) and I used to learn Spanish as well. I'm a good driver with a B license. I am willing to learn almost any activity.

👩‍🦰 DENISA

I'm 26 years old and I'm most passionate about sustainability and the environment. I graduated from an agricultural college with a degree in food quality. During my studies I spent several weeks working in gardens. I also spent half a year in the Netherlands in Wageningen at Erasmus, where I started to study more about the environment and climate change. I am now following this up with environmental studies in Brno.

At the same time I worked in an environmental non-profit organization as a telefundraiser, managed social media and wrote newsletters and texts for baby e-shop products. Before that, I tried several jobs, including working in a café, a zero waste shop and a cinema.

Besides my work experience, I am into Buddhism, yoga and any form of art that I love to create and find all around me. My first big trip was when I was 18 to India to different Buddhist places. A few years later I spent three weeks in Spain on the Camino de Santiago. Later, Martin and I spent a backpacker holiday in the Canary Islands and now we want to spend a year in New Zealand to gain new experience.
