Description
Hello
We (psychologist and doctor (GP)) are visiting family in Canada from early August. We previously did quite a few stints in France with workaway and we would like to do another one in Canada. We are particularly interested in environmental projects. However we have teaching backgrounds and teaching english to children or adults is also something we are happy to do.
Geoff is a keen handyman with an eye for detail and can turn his hand to most tasks and can help with renovations. I enjoy gardening (and weeding) (flowers and vegetable). We have both participated in pest trapping and native planting projects. We are both happy to get our hands dirty and help with diy projects.

Rebecca would be very happy to teach english. She has a teaching background and has volunteered and taught english with ex refugee populations in New Zealand. We both enjoyed struggling with French during our workaway experience in France and we are very keen to work somewhere with fluent French speakers who are preferably worse in English than we are in French.

We have some experience in the garden - I have my own vegetable plot and small orchard that we get much of our produce from in the spring and summer seasons.
Animals
We have had pets throughout our lives...dogs, cats, chickens so are familiar and comfortable with these creatures. We would be keen to learn about other animals - cows, horses, goats etc. I'm very keen to meet and participate in the daily routines of people who live in different parts of the world.
Cooking
We are both keen cooks. In my younger days I worked as a kitchen assistant in several restaurants and am interested in food. This is one reason why we have chosen to travel around France.
Teaching
I have a teaching qualification and Geoff has a basic level of teacher training. I also have a teaching english certificate and experience teaching former refugees english.
Building
Geoff has an eye for detail and has worked on building sites. He has also built small structures such as our chicken house and vegetable garden (see photos).

What else ...
board games...I am a keen board game player - settlers of catan, splendour, seven wonders and am interested to be introduced to any other game.
music...love it ..although I am not particularly musical, my son studied music at university and my daughter is an accomplished violin player, so music has been part of our lives.
