Description

Hi, I'm Peter! I am a 23 year old university graduate from London, UK. I am currently travelling around Asia after working in a Museum (working with visitors, mostly young people, and in the music archive) and as a barista in a local cafe.

I am deeply passionate about music and musical cultures/traditions. On my travels I hope to learn more about the rich musical heritage of regions all across Asia.
I plan to commence my teacher training course upon my return to the UK later this year. Teaching is something I feel very strongly for and I am hoping to gain some teaching experience during my time abroad. I am a native English speaker with a very strong academic background. I have experience working with young people and would love to use my enthusiasm, knowledge and energy to contribute to local communities and education projects. I am very hard working and dependable. I am also in the process of completing an accredited TEFL qualification.

My other interests include photography (I have a professional DSLR with me and would be very open to offering my photographic skills to prospective placements), the natural world, reading, art, religion/spirituality.

I am happiest when I am building meaningful, genuine connections with people and feeling like part of a community. I am motivated by hard work, contributing to good causes and the exchange of ideas, language and cultures.
