 - Travel information- We are currently - Travelling - Our next destination: Turkey - from Nov 2025 until Dec 2025 View all
 - Description- Hi:)
My name is Karl from Kempten (Allgäu), Germany.
I've been bikepacking with my wife and long-time partner, Lisa from Japan, since July this year.
We started cycling from my home and our goal is to reach her family home, Yokohama in Japan.
But for us, this journey is not really about the destination, but more about being as present as possible to experience, meet and learn different cultures and people and beings with our own eyes.
It is very crucial for us to travel as sustainably and authentically as possible - any beautiful encounters with people or animals on the road make our day :)
That's one of the reasons we don't stress much about how many kilometres we achieve everyday.
We live day to day slowly and most importantly listen to our mind and body.
Joining Workaway community, hoping that we will meet different souls to spent a little longer time together with (2 weeks) & exchange & share love and spirits 🕉️🙏🏻🌿🌛✨

 - More details about your skills- We looooove animals.
Especially, Lisa adores them so much that we often have to stop every 200m as she finds any kinds of animals.
We used to have 2 cats when we were living in Cologne, Germany, and Lisa's grown up with dogs.
I think we're a fast learner & can be helpful for different kinds of tasks.
But most importantly, we're super motivated & keen to learn new skills and get to know different ways of living or work :)
One of other projects we have in mind is "building a Tiny house" after our cycling journey :)

What a wonderful experience to meet these crazy cookies. Great fun, humerus, extremely hard workers, fast learners (Karl got my 30 second digger driving tutorial) and extremely helpful, a breath of fresh air to have around. Safe travels both and enjoy the journey xx
We needed help to prepare wood for winter and they accepted happily to join us.
Our whole human and furry family were happy to have them around since the moment they arrived.
The energy they carry around them and their maturity makes them a real power couple, helpful on any situation (from working in… read more
Although our request to volunteer was quite spontaneous, Lucile and Milan welcomed us with warmth, kindness, and the best vibes from the very beginning.
