Hi, I’m Daniela! 🙋🏽‍♀️

I’m originally from Mexico, I’m an EU citizen, and I’ve lived in Sweden for the last 15 years. I’m now in a transition and reinvention phase, settling in Southern Europe (for now between Spain, Portugal, and Italy). I’m looking for a calmer place close to nature where I can learn, contribute, and build community.

I love a sustainable lifestyle and I’m especially interested in learning about gardening, permaculture, and how to live more self-sufficiently and off-grid. I’m not an expert in practical tasks yet, but I learn fast, I’m in good physical shape, I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty or use tools, and I genuinely enjoy being outdoors. I’ve helped for a few summers in my family’s large garden in Switzerland and also with my father’s many plants, and it left me wanting to learn more seriously.

I’m also a big animal lover and I have a lot of experience caring for dogs and cats. I grew up surrounded by animals and in recent years I’ve run a small side project doing pet care. I’m respectful, warm, and organized, and I value good communication and a friendly home atmosphere. I don’t smoke, I rarely drink alcohol, and I prefer calm environments with a healthy lifestyle.

Professionally, I’m a web designer and I enjoy creating professional, user-friendly websites for purpose-driven projects. If needed, I can also support with structure, storytelling, basic SEO, digital presence, and social media. That said, my main priority on Workaway is a practical experience: helping with daily tasks and learning real-life sustainable living skills.

During my stay, I usually work on my business 2 to 4 hours a day (depending on the week), and I can coordinate this easily so the exchange feels clear and respectful. If I occasionally need a video call at a specific time or to go into the city once a week, I plan it in advance and make up the hours whenever it suits you best.

Soy mexicana con ciudadanía europea y he vivido los últimos 15 años en Suecia. Ahora estoy en una etapa de transición y reinvención: me estoy estableciendo en el sur de Europa (por ahora entre España, Portugal e Italia), buscando un lugar más tranquilo, cerca de la naturaleza, donde pueda aprender, aportar y construir comunidad.

Me encanta el estilo de vida sostenible y me interesa especialmente aprender sobre jardinería, permacultura y cómo vivir de forma más autosuficiente y fuera de la red. No soy experta en tareas prácticas, pero aprendo rápido, tengo buena condición física, no me da miedo ensuciarme ni usar herramientas, y disfruto muchísimo estar al aire libre. He ayudado algunos veranos en el jardín grande de mi familia en Suiza y también con las plantas de mi padre, y me quedé con ganas de aprender más en serio.

También soy muy amante de los animales y tengo mucha experiencia cuidando perros y gatos. Crecí rodeada de animales y en los últimos años he llevado un pequeño proyecto paralelo de cuidado de mascotas. Soy una persona respetuosa, cálida y organizada, valoro la buena comunicación y la convivencia amable. No fumo, casi no bebo alcohol y prefiero ambientes tranquilos, con un enfoque saludable.

A nivel profesional, soy diseñadora web y me gusta crear páginas web profesionales y fáciles de usar para proyectos con propósito. Si lo necesitan, también puedo apoyar con estructura, narrativa, SEO básico, presencia digital y medios sociales. Dicho esto, mi prioridad en Workaway es vivir una experiencia práctica: ayudar en el día a día y aprender habilidades reales de vida sostenible.

Durante mi estancia, normalmente estaría trabajando en mi negocio 2 a 4 horas al día (dependiendo de la semana), y puedo coordinarlo sin problema para que el intercambio sea respetuoso y claro. Si en algún momento necesito una videollamada puntual o ir a la ciudad una vez por semana, lo organizo con tiempo y recupero esas horas cuando a ustedes les convenga.
