  • Description

    Hello everybody,

I am Sissy, 37 years old and from Germany. I’m a curious, hands-on person who loves jumping into new experiences. Whether it's cooking a spontaneous dinner for the team, helping build a shelf, or organizing a small running group at sunrise — I find joy in contributing wherever I can. I believe in shared stories, laughter, and leaving a place a little better than I found it. Also, I make a great cup of coffee (or matcha!) and am always up for an exchange of travel tales.

At home, I share life with my two-year-old dog — my loyal sidekick, adventure buddy, and vanlife co-pilot. When we’re not exploring winding coastal roads or hidden forest trails in a van, I’m likely hopping on a long-haul flight with a backpack in tow, chasing new horizons and spontaneous reunions with friends and family scattered around the globe.

In 2019, I swapped routine for the unknown and set off on a 13-month world trip. From apple picking in New Zealand to translating books between English, German, and Spanish in South America — I did a little bit of everything. I worked on kiwi orchards in New Zealand, helped manage hostels in Mexico and Peru (yes, I make a mean morning coffee), freshened up guest rooms, boosted social media at a Guatemalan bar, and dabbled in DIY projects and light repairs. If something needed fixing or lifting — I was probably already halfway there.

When I’m not on the road, I live in a small town called Bielefeld and commute to Berlin, where I work in People & Culture (aka Human Resources) at an international museum for photography. It’s not your average office — we also run a restaurant, two bars, a café, and a beer garden, so hospitality is woven into everything we do. I’m the go-to person for our team when it comes to all things employment, support, and keeping things running behind the scenes. Hosting is in my blood — be it at work or with friends at home.

Outside of work, I’m powered by movement and nature. I run marathons (both half and full), play tennis, ski, hike, stretch it out in Pilates, and I’m currently working on unlocking my inner surfer girl. I love being in and on the water - be it by the waterfront or on a boat. I’m at my happiest with wind in my hair, salt on my skin, and a trail under my feet. Oh — and if I haven't mentioned it yet, I love good coffee (or a matcha), cooking, and chatting with people from all walks of life. Once in a while I do enjoy the quiet of a hammock, reading a book, or writing.

I absolutely adore animals, and looking after them never feels like work. I have experience in child care from my AuPair year in New Jersey that I did right after high school - taking care of four children, doable :).

I’m always up for new adventures, meaningful connections, and lending a hand wherever it’s needed — so if you think we could be a good match, I’d love to hear from you!
