Hi, my name is Monika, 28 years old from Poland. I want to start living my life fully, while connecting with nature and people all over the world.

Over a year ago I finished International Culture Studies in Krakow. After this I worked for some time in a cafe and had trouble with finding a job in my profession. Those few months were really hard for me and gave me the push to do something that I always wanted to do - travel the world. I moved out of Krakow and worked abroad to save money for my travels. I'm planning to start my journey around the end of the January and travel across Europe, I want to visit Spain, Portugal, France and Italy the most. My plan is to stay with one host for some time and from there to look for the next one, that way I will be flexible and open to change my plans last minute if I want to. I hope to learn as much as I can, find amazing places along the way and most of all meet wonderful people, share our life experiences and maybe inspire one another :)

I have one Workaway experience and it's definitely my favourite trip. It was 5 years ago in France. I lived in an old house in a small village near the Pyrenees, surrounded with nature, animals, music. There was a jazz festival nearby and the owners were doing a temporary Bed&Breakfast there. I was helping with breakfast and cleaning the rooms. I also did some gardening and walking the dogs. It was an amazing experience that allowed me to meet a lot of great people, spent time biking, swimming in lakes and disconnect from technology and city noise.

I love being in nature, some of my favourite outdoor activities are hiking, trekking, kayaking and camping. I also practice yoga. I'm a spontaneous and open-minded person, I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures and life experiences. I enjoy cooking, photography, going to flea markets and second-hand shops (I love giving new life to old things) and listening to music. I love to draw and paint with watercolours in my free time.

I worked in gastronomy for a few years, so I have a lot of skills related to dealing with customers, making coffee and other drinks, making food, washing dishes and cleaning in general. I also worked for six months at a hotel in Germany. I was responsible mostly for cleaning of the guest rooms and public areas, but I also helped in the kitchen.

I learn really quickly, I'm hardworking and I can easily adapt to different task: I can help with all household work (inside and outside), DIY projects. I'd love to help with animal care, I was a volunteer at a cat shelter, so I have some experience.
I can help with gardening, growing up I often helped my mum with planting, cleaning up the weeds and picking vegetables and fruits.

This year I did a lot of painting and drawing. I mostly use ink, colour pencils and watercolours, but I also did a wall mural in my childhood room with acrylic paints. I still have a lot to learn, that's why I would love to help with any artistic and DIY projects.

I'd love to help with renovating and building projects. I have a little bit of experience with painting walls and I'd like to learn more.
