Description
I am Mirjam and I am currently doing my master's degree in French Language and Culture. I am a very optimistic and energetic person and, much like Amélie Poulain (who I discovered during my exchange year in France), I love finding joy in the smallest things — a lovely Sunday walk, a random street concert I stumble upon by chance, or a silly movie night with friends.
I enjoy being surrounded by people, making new friends and getting to know everyone with their little quirks and personalities. I am also a very creative person and love knitting, crocheting, drawing, painting, playing the piano and dancing. I enjoy swimming, walking and discovering new places.
Kindness is something that motivates me a lot — both towards myself and towards others. I believe that getting to know people, their cultures, passions and stories is a real gift.
I come from Estonia, a beautiful country that is very connected to its roots, culture and traditions. Because it is quite small, I am especially curious to explore the rest of the world and everything it has to offer.
I also really enjoy spending time with children. Their imagination and playfulness inspire me a lot. I have spent the past seven summers working with children, and that experience has taught me that a sense of childlike wonder can be one of the keys to a happy life.
I will be finishing my two-semester Erasmus exchange in Rennes, Brittany, at the beginning of May. Before returning home to Estonia in June, I would love to spend some time in Paris if the opportunity arises. It has been a long-time dream of mine to truly experience the city — not just as a visitor, but by living there for a while, discovering its everyday rhythms and meeting the wonderful people who make it so special. I have visited Paris a few times before, but it always felt far too short, and I would be very happy to have the chance to stay a little longer and get to know the city more deeply. -

More details about your skills
I am fluent in Estonian and English and have a B2 level in French. I have also studied German for eight years; although I don’t use it daily, my skills are around B1/B2, and sometimes German words even pop into my head when I think in French!
I have extensive experience working with children, starting with my own siblings and relatives, and including five summers at Lottemaa (the Estonian equivalent of Disneyland), where I played different characters and entertained children through talking, playing, drawing, singing, and other activities for eight hours a day. I have also worked as a squad/group leader, supervising children, guiding them with tasks, and organizing their free-time activities.
In Vanemuine Theatre, I led tours and workshops for both children and adults, helping them discover the magic of theatre. Additionally, I have volunteered at various events and therefore gained lot of different experiences by working with a lot of different people.
Through my experiences working with children, volunteering, and leading workshops, I have developed strong social and communication skills. I am confident in teaching, guiding, and motivating others, while creating a safe and engaging environment. These experiences have also strengthened my creativity, adaptability, and teamwork, and taught me the importance of patience, kindness, and understanding -
