Hello!
For the past 5 summers I have lived and worked on a community farm in Ames, Iowa in the US. We grow all types of fruits and vegetables by hand using agroecology principles. We also have a few sheep, chickens and cats! I am a huge animal lover!!

So during the winter when I stay with my family in California, I volunteer at an animal sanctuary with goats, pigs, dogs, and a horse.

I would love more experience with larger animals (horses, donkeys, cattle). But also very happy working in the garden as long as there is an animal to pet and hang out with in my free time.

At the moment I am pescatarian, mostly for ecological reasons so I could be open to eating sustainable meat if necessary.

Before working on farms, I did a year long community service program in the United States doing mostly trail building and invasive species removal so I am very comfortable with manual labor and working outside.

In my free time I like to spend it at the beach, hiking, cycling or lounging in a hammock with a good book.

I was recently certified as a yoga instructor on my travels in Bali, so I would also like to keep practicing this skill.

I will be arriving in Perth, Australia on Nov 22 and then hoping to travel across Australia and make my way to New Zealand. I have never been to either of these countries so really looking forward to the experience!
