Hiya! I'm Mikey, a recent graduate in environmental science from the US, and I'm taking the summer to travel the European continent with my girlfriend before starting work in the fall. First and foremost, I love traveling and exploring new and diverse places, but most importantly, exchanging cultures and learning new languages. I believe that one has to step out of their comfort zone to truly find the adventure in life, and I try to do something that pushes me every day because of it. I am an enjoyer of everything outdoors, as I've been camping since I was as young as five in scouting, and this exposure is what ultimately led me to pursue a career in protecting the environment! I am an avid music lover and a classically trained pianist, and I love to ski in the winter and go to the beaches in the summer. I am looking to explore places I wouldn't have otherwise been able to financially, and to continue to indulge in new culinary delights, cultural phenomena, and ultimately see more of this world and the beautiful people and places it holds.

Laurence was a fantastic host to Mikey and me. This was our first work away, and she was very helpful in communicating what was expected of us. Michael et Jeanne ont passé une semaine à la maison, c'était leur premier workaway. ils sont très gentils, intéressants, agréables, courageux, travailleurs, juste pour moi un peu compliqué car ils ne parlent pas très bien Français et mon anglais est très mauvais, heureusement qu'on avait une autre workaway pour traduire.
