Description
Hey there, my name is Matilda! I have finished school end of June '25 and hope to experience some adventures, see beautiful places and create meaningful connections within the freedom that now awaits me☀️I love being outdoors and doing stuff, especially when there’s water involved 🌊 I am eager to learn new things, a bit about myself and meet new people 😊 I am going into this gap year to truly discover this world and my place in it! Hopefully, our paths will meet and reveal us knowledge and wisdom!

More details about your skills
I love being with people and kids, as I am a very outgoing and positive person! I have worked as an actress for a bit, which has taught me how to keep calm in stressful circumstances, working in a team and doing things over and over again. I am also part of a local conservation group, called the BUNDjugend and have been organising some demonstrations with Fridays for Future, too. The environment is very important to me and I would like to learn more about applied sustainability (e.g. passive housing, regenerative agriculture,...there’s a connection to sustainability in everything you do, really). I also intend to study something in that direction after my gap year so any kind of experience with like-minded people is valuable to me! I like doing crafts, e.g. knitting, crocheting, building something and especially being outdoors and in nature. I love to get my hands dirty. I have worked in maintenance in a national park in Costa Rica, which has taught me to be grateful with little luxury and focus on nature's abundance. One month in a sea turtle project has taught me mental resilience when your body feels tired from night shifts, no privacy and physical exhaustion from hard work in the sun, but also to appreciate the wonders of natures and miracle of the circle of life!!
Keeping the beaches clean here also made me realize how important it is for us humans to understand our impact on our mother and to do everything, even tiny steps, to protect the source of everything. 🌍🌱
Now I am open to any kind of work, to expand my experience and heart on this planet!!
