Hi! My name is Mariana, and I’m currently studying to become a primary school teacher with a focus on English, Math, and German. I’m a very open-minded and curious person who loves discovering new places and meeting people from different backgrounds.

In my free time, I really enjoy spending time in nature, going for long walks, and staying active with sports—but I also appreciate a good lazy day now and then! I’m a big fan of video games, anime, and animals, and I have a rather quirky sense of humor that usually gets people smiling (or at least confused in a fun way!).

I’m really looking forward to experiencing everyday life in a different country, learning from others, and hopefully sharing some laughs and good conversations along the way! My goal is to improve my english skills because I’m a rather introverted person and feel very anxious to talk to people in english:,) time to overcome my fear and be adventurous!

More details about my language interests
I’ve always loved languages. I studied linguistics for a few years, and since I’m training to become a primary school teacher with a focus on English and German, I’ve also learned how to teach both languages, whether as foreign languages or at a more advanced level. I’m half Mexican and speak Spanish fluently, so teaching languages definitely comes naturally to me. There’s something really special about watching students improve and grow more confident, it’s one of the most rewarding parts of teaching. Exploring different languages and dialects is a real passion of mine. Whether it’s for fun or in the classroom, I just love diving into the way people communicate.

I really enjoy being outdoors. Gardening and taking care of plants is something that just makes me happy. I’ve also worked with kids and teenagers for a few years now, and it’s something I truly love. They’re fun, full of energy, and always keep things interesting (and funny).

I’d say I’m a pretty organized person, so helping out around the house doesn’t bother me, in fact, I kind of enjoy it (when it’s not my own mess xd) I also love cooking in my free time, especially for friends and family. Luckily, they haven’t complained yet, only compliments so far!

Creativity is a big part of my personality. I’m always working on something artsy or coming up with unexpected little ideas.

I’m definitely on the nerdy side (in the best way) I’m really into manga and anime, and I love trading card games like Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon. Role-playing games are a big passion too, whether it’s diving into the world of Dark Souls or getting lost in a good Dungeons & Dragons campaign. I also spend a lot of time playing video games, watching movies, and reading all kinds of literature.
