Description
Hi there, I’m Marlene 🔅
l've decided to take some time to work and travel before I start studying because I really want to see more of this beautiful world and get in touch with people and other living beings in a warm hearted way. Also self development is really important to me.
Being respectful, honest and kind towards people, animals and the environment is essential for me. In my opinion, respect is key for creating the basis for an environment where everyone feels comfortable and, as a result, can work together effectively.
When I am travelling I am interested in getting to know the local area (not in a basic touristic way) in terms of nature, culture, music, food, art and maybe experiencing some of the social life.
Besides that I enjoy activities like drawing/ painting, journaling, sewing, knitting, baking and cooking.
Furthermore I practice yoga and I like hiking, dancing, swimming and playing music in my free time.

More details about your skills
In my past I’ve already helped out as a school secretary, I have worked at a small hotel (mainly as a waitress, behind the bar and in the kitchen) and I helped a family out with their household. Last winter I volunteered in two social organisations: one for youth and one for people with disabilities. Since 2 years I‘m working on a mini-job basis in a breakfast café (in the kitchen).
I like being surrounded by animals and taking care of them, working in nature and expressing myself creatively in any way. I also enjoy cooking and baking (as I often do this for my family and friends too), as well as generally working with my hands (painting, building things, little craftworks at home, gardening, ...). I am not scared of getting my hands dirty, as I love to use them to create beautiful or useful stuff:)
If I had to describe myself, l'd say l'm an open-minded person who is present, creative, motivated and kind. Concerning work, l am neat, attentive and quite a quick learner.
I'm always open to try out new things, learn new skills and broaden my horizons.
