Description
Hello!🌻
My name is Maria, I’m 25 years old, and I’m from Barcelona, Spain.
I’ve been a traveler for as long as I can remember. At sixteen, I began my first solo journey, volunteering in Alaska, USA, for three months. There, I took care of children of all ages, helped in a plant-based kitchen, and participated in building sustainable homes. This experience changed my life and sparked my passion for independent travel.
Since then, I’ve continued exploring the world on my own, as I believe traveling is one of the best ways to learn about life and the world around us. In 2022, I worked as an au pair in Dublin, Ireland, for six months, caring for two children aged two and four.
In September 2024, I volunteered as an English teacher for children at a school in Phayao, Thailand. Thailand is an incredible country, and this experience allowed me to fully immerse myself in its culture while contributing through education.
I love meeting new people, discovering different cultures, and living each experience deeply.
I’m a cheerful person with a positive attitude, and I always try to give my best wherever I go.
I’m really looking forward to meeting you! ✨
Maria

I'm interested in teaching lessons in English and Spanish to children. I am a very communicative person, and I love to express myself. I think that learning new idioms opens a lot of doors in life and that everyone deserves to have that opportunity and to feel totally comfortable with it, and I would love to help with that.

More details about your skills
I can be useful at different things, for example:
1. I can teach Spanish or English lessons as well.
2. I have knowledge about macrobiotic diets; I did a volunteer experience with the Ionia community in Kasilof, Alaska, and I've been learning about them for three months. Also, I've been eating macrobiotic food since I was a baby. My dad is a doctor who heals through this kind of diet, and it's something that is very familiar to me, and my mom is a health coach.
3. In 2019, I studied nutrition and diet.
4. I'm a creative person; I love to draw, and I can give drawing lessons as well as sing. I'm actually studying music and theatre to become an actress, so I can give theatre or singing lessons to the kids who want to learn a little bit about it!
5. I'm good with kids; I've been babysitting for a long time. My last experience with kids was two years ago, when I worked as an au pair for six months in Dublin. I minded two little girls, one of the age of two and the other four years old. Alternately, I worked with a Sudani family with three children: one girl, twelve years old, her brother, ten, and the youngest, eight.
6. I am very tidy; I can cook, clean, and do anything you ask me to! 😊
