My next destination:
Wanganui, New Zealand - from Dec 2024 until Jan 2025 View allDescription
Hi!! 👋 I've been waiting for this since I heard about "work exchange" when I was 15, and it FINALLY came the time, after saving up for it.
So, "Me in a Nutshell" (by topics so you can check only what you're interested in 😉):
✨ WHY ME?
- I'm really easy-going, flexible and open-minded (pretty much the human personification of "Just happy to be here!"), so I'm glad to help in any way I can;
- I'm very creative, dynamic and resourceful, I can bring new ideas to you;
- Classic extrovert, friendly and playful (but also really take the work seriously and with responsability).
✈️ WHAT I LOOK FOR IN MY TRAVELS
- Meet cool humans! If I have one joy in life is connecting and making people laugh;
- Outdoor adventures! Climbing, hikes, canoeing, rappel, snorkeling, whatever it is, I just want to play outside;
- Experience other cultures, eat great food, contact with nature and slow travel.
🙌 VOLUNTEER WORK
- Even tho my professional world is very digital, i love being hands-on and being out and about in the middle of the action;
- I've done a lot of different stuff through the years, like being a summer camp counselor or volunteering at events and summer festivals (from giving general support/supervision and making sure everybody is happy, to coordinating activities).
- As a scout I've also done DIY projects, entertaining children and elders, planting trees, helped in animal organizations, etc.Interests

🏕️ SOFT SKILLS
I was a SCOUT from age 6 to 21, so that made me do a lot of different volunteering work, and grow as a human in a lot of ways, like developing leadership skills, communication and conflict resolution, team spirit and how to deal with all kinds of people, activity planning/management and being proactive!
Above all (if I took anything from it): I can tie some knots.
📺 DIGITAL SKILLS (STUDIES/WORK)
Since 2021, I've been working as a VIDEO EDITOR and CONTENT CREATOR and STRATEGIST for a portuguese TV documentary series about science ("UAU - Ciência Sem Limites"). My job consists in editing full episodes in post-production, planning the social media strategy and creating video content for it.
Inbetween the show seasons I worked as a SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER and I also have some experience assisting production, writing scripts, graphic design and photography.
🎲 ENTERTAINING
I'm known as the ACTIVITIES & GAMES ORGANIZER in my friend group. There always has to be one person that makes the ideas "leave the groupchat" and actually has the initiative to make it happen - I'm that person! I'm a great planner and love entertaining (I have a whole list on my phone notes app with all types of games I learned during my scout years and summer camps, to get people moving and having fun in social settings).
🐎 EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES (OTHER ANIMALS ALSO)
I did 12 years of HORSEBACK RIDING (jumping competitions and helped with the horses/stables and gave some classes to kids) but I stopped when I was 17 and went to uni.
I also have a lot of cats, some birds and I've helped my grandma with her chickens, ducks and rabbits.Age

The place is beautiful, with the cutest cats and dog, great for peaceful promenades with the mountains on the horizon (I saw the most amazing susnsets)!
The work can be different during your stay, from helping in the vineyards/garden, feeding the animals, cutting wood or even cooking, you for sure won't be bored. You do… read more
