Hey there! We're Lynette and Preston - two friends from Singapore who're currently during our undergraduate exchange semester together in Reims, France.

We're hoping to do a Workaway together right after our study abroad semester finishes in early May, and leave around mid-June in time for hiking season before we head back home - a total of 4 weeks. Our ideal Workaway experience is somewhere close to hiking trails, bodies of water, and public transport accessible. Bonus points for house pets, a clean + equipped kitchen, and a host that truly loves hosting. We would love the chance to offer whatever help we could provide, and to fully immerse in wherever we go. We look forward to hearing from you :)

About Lynette
Hello! I'm a third year Sociology undergraduate. Outside of school, you'll find me either outdoors (hiking, kayaking, laying in the grass, etc.) or cooking something up in the kitchen. I enjoy getting to know the people I'm travelling with, and am always up for a chat :)

About Preston
Hi! I’m a third year undergraduate in Economics and Social Sciences. I’m excited by exploring the world on foot, through hikes or runs (still working to get to a full marathon someday) and I’m in love with history and listening to lovely stories about each and every place I go to!

Lynette: I love cooking and baking and anything involving a kitchen. I spent a year and a half working in a cocktail bar: scrubbing glasses, giving out free therapy to guests, ingredient prepping (you name it) and truly enjoyed it! I'd be more than happy to help prepare meals and keep the place clean. I've also volunteered at a cat & dog shelter in Singapore to keep kennels clean and furry friends fed. I've got no experience farming/gardening, but I would love to try.

Preston: My working experience is a little less varied, with stints in the corporate world, serving 2 years in the military and a 2-week volunteering programme at a dog shelter back home in Singapore! I'm also proficient in Excel and can help to program spreadsheets, good with numbers, and can speak fluent Chinese. I love the outdoors and would be very happy to lend a hand on any task!

We spent two weeks with Pavel and Saskia and had a memorable time. Our first couple of days here, I (Lynette) just came down with a cold and wasn't feeling well, and they insisted that I rest, which was very kind of them.
