Hi! My name is Lovisa, and I’m a 22-year-old from Stockholm, Sweden.

I’ve always loved traveling and broadening my horizons. I started traveling on my own when I was 17, and since then I’ve continued seeking out new experiences through solo travel and backpacking, exploring different cultures and meeting people from all kinds of backgrounds.

Recently, I spent almost a year living and working in Sydney. This April, I began my second backpacking journey through Asia, starting in Indonesia and Malaysia. I’m excited to immerse myself in new cultures, meet new people, and learn from every experience along the way.

Traveling has taught me how to adapt to new environments, embrace different perspectives, and challenge myself. It has made me more independent, flexible, and comfortable stepping outside my comfort zone. These experiences have helped me connect with people from diverse backgrounds and approach new situations with curiosity and an open mind.

I’m excited for the opportunity to do another Workaway, continue learning and growing, and contribute in a meaningful way. I look forward to hearing from you!

I’m an open-minded and adaptable person who enjoys learning new things and meeting people from different backgrounds. I’m flexible, responsible, and comfortable adjusting to new environments.

I have experience in service jobs such as waitressing and retail, where I’ve learned to work efficiently and communicate well with others. I also worked as a nanny and preschool assistant, which taught me patience and how to connect with people of different ages.

More recently, I’ve been traveling and volunteering a lot. I spent two weeks in Indonesia teaching English, which was a great cultural exchange and helped me improve my communication skills. I also spent two weeks on a Workaway in Portugal, where I helped with renovation work in a community setting.

Currently, I’m in Malaysia volunteering at a hostel, helping with cleaning, making beds, and working at the reception.

I’m used to spending time in nature, as my family and I often go to our countryside house when we have time off. There, we grow our own vegetables and take care of the land, which has taught me about self-sufficiency and appreciating a slower lifestyle.

I’m also passionate about sustainability and healthy living. I’ve been vegetarian for 10 years and enjoy cooking. I have a 5-year-old rescue Maltese dog, and I take care of her daily, including walks and basic care.

Overall, these experiences have made me independent, flexible, and eager to continue learning and contributing wherever I can.
