Hello!
Im Lotte, a 25-year-old from Norway!

My goal as a “Workawayer” is to find a sense of peace in reconnecting with what truly brings me joy — the simple things in life. After living a busy city life filled with work and routines, I want to reconnect with people and nature, learn new skills as well as use and contribute with my own.

I love arts and crafts, music, being outdoors (especially doing gardening) and cooking for others. I am hardworking, and eager to learn - whether it’s picking up a new language, crafting/handy-skills or gaining insight into local traditions.

I also love the idea of contributing to others life through shared effort — a kind of teamwork or “dugnadsånd” (as we call it in Norwegian) — and helping out with things I don’t get to do in my own daily life.

I have experience traveling and working with non-profit/volunteering organizations, but I've never traveled alone - something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I am hardworking, and will strive to do every task as best as i can, big or small.

More details about my language interests
I would love to learn french! In high school, I took French and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to use the language in a good while, so I’ve become pretty rusty. I would really love brush up on my French, and be able to have everyday conversations!

INTERESTS / SKILLS:
I have experience in painting houses and scraping off old paint, both indoors and outdoors. After working on a “handy team” for a TV production, I gained a solid range of practical skills, including basic carpentry, sawing, and assembling wooden structures. At home, I take pride in creating a personal and good looking environment, and I believe I have a good eye for aesthetics;))

I’ve always had a deep love for music, dance, and crafts such as painting, knitting, and crocheting. I always have a piece of handiwork in my hands in the fall time. In recent years, I’ve also developed a passion for cooking for others and spending time in the garden.

EDUCATION / WORK:
I have a bachelors degree in "Project Management in art and creative industries". Through this, I developed the ability to plan, facilitate, and execute art projects such as exhibitions, festivals, and events.

Today, I work at a cultural center in Oslo, the capital of Norway, while also being involved in the television industry. I also have previous experience working in the music industry.
