My next destination:
New Zealand - from Jan 2024 until May 2024 View allDescription
Currently on a gap year from my Master in sciences in France, I've been working in Melbourne for 6 months but always dreamt about traveling New Zealand and here I am!
I arrived in Auckland end of January and will be travelling North and South until May from when I will start a 5 months-internship in Auckland.
What I love most when travelling is to meet new people, learn, discover and experience truly their way of living. That's why I've always like the idea of wwoofing/workaway to explore the world.
My first experience with wwoofing was when I was 18 in Sweden where I had the chance to help a lovely family in their farm and started learning about permaculture. It's something I'm very interested about and would love to learn more!
I grew up on the country side of France and after few months in Melbourne, I realized how important it is for me to spend time out of the city life.
So far I've been helping with wedding, cooking, painting, cleaning/organizing, childcare (+ past experience as an Au Pair and babysitter), taking care of the animals, doing housesitting...
But I can help with any kind of task and love to learn new skills as I'm a fast learner. I'm self-motivated, autonomous and as enthusiastic as I can in everything I do!
I'm tidy (but don't mind if it's a bit messy), calm, hard worker, efficient, not the most extroverted person but I love to chat with new people and listen to their life stories and advices.
I love hiking, running (I'm training for Welligton's half-marathon in June!!), going for a swim and just spending as much time outside as I can.
I like cooking too (and eating!) and would be happy to share recipes/help in the kitchen. I don't have a specific diet but I'd rather avoid eating meat (No need to make special meals for me, I'll adapt to any diet!!).
I don't smoke and will only drink alcohol on special occasions.
Oh and I have my own car!! :)
My English is good enough for a clear communication but I'm still looking to improve my pronunciation and broaden my vocabulary.
Looking forward to have amazing experiences in NZ!!Interests

My past wwoofing experience consisted in animal care, farm work, windows restoration, painting,…
I’m motivated to help as much as possible with any kind of job, as long as someone shows me and explains how to do it!
I try to stay as fit as I can so I’m not scared of physical tasks, I’ll do as much as I can!
I love spending time with animal, especially horses as I’ve been a horse rider for several years and I’ve always been taking care of them any time I had the chance to.
I also love cooking and taking care of children and would love to be able to help with that!Age

Even if we were a bit restrained by the weather, we shared good times and delicious meals with those lovely ladies. We are going to miss them as well as our daily walk with Willow and River!
Their architecturally stunning house and garden provided a beautiful backdrop to our stay. We mainly helped with gardening tasks and had the pleasure to share delicious meal with them.
