Hi I’m Logan! I'm from a small ski town up near Glacier National Park, Montana in the U.S. I love to surf, hike, snowboard and rock climb. Now, I am exploring warmer regions with good surf while looking to get any sailing in that I can. I taught English in Indonesia for 4 months at the beginning of the year, and am now backpacking in Nepal. I'm looking for spiritually driven, simple, slow-lane, yet charging into the storm-kinda-livin'. I try to stay focused on finding more ways to be compassionate and hold peace - the more smiles around the better!
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science this spring and I have a drive to help protect wildlife and natural places. I have experience conducting ecological, geological, hydro, geomorph research.. slacklining; lots of fun things, and the list goes on! Check out my skills.Interests

Degree: Bachelor's (4-year degree) in Environmental Science
I've tutored some university-level courses, I’m strong in all subjects up to the university level and know how to adapt my teaching style to fit different learning needs, and for different ages. When it comes to kids, I have patience in spades. I've instructed snowboarding lessons for 3 years, primarily to groups of 10 different 10 year olds. I loved it, it's so fun to work with kids and find tricks to get them pumped to learn (optimal state to learn anything-when you're having fun); then to watch them do it like it's nothing, it's so rewarding. I also worked at a zip-lining course this past summer-season. This direct teaching experience was essential to develop some of my social skills with kids. In which, I bond well with a lot of different people and I love the challenge of keeping youngo’s engaged and excited about learning. Put plainly: I know how to talk to kids cause I still live the life of one! I would consider my self laid back and adaptable, and genuinely enjoy getting along with people from all walks of life!
I’m know some mechanical work on vehicles and machinery, as well as just basic home repairs. I have several years experience in construction, so I can tackle a range of odd jobs when needed. I also really enjoy cooking, am not any chef, though sometimes I might believe I am...
I also have a lot of outdoor skills, especially in deep-backcountry situations. With my background in environmental science, I’m skilled in environmental research (both field and software), so I can dig into topics like landscape interpretation, geology, and conservation—teaching in a way that’s clear and meaningful. I could see myself being a good environmental teacher of sorts. Ultimately, I get that people only really learn if the teacher brings genuine excitement and care to the process. Thanks for reading!Age
